ok now i turned my pc on again and torrent is seeding.
but why i cannot post the torrent on QZ ?
Y
You can post it: start a new thread to announce the torrent and add the torrent file from your hard drive using the "upload file" function below your message. Just browse the HD for the file and click on "upload file"

that's exactly when the trouble starts

when i browse for the .torrent location i receive a message "Only .torrent files and JPEG screen shots are allowed."

But a .torrent is exactly what im attaching!

Anyway, this is the link to the torrent.
Do you think i can announce it like this ?

You have to plug your cassete player and your PC using a stereo cable. You have to use either "Line In" or "Mic" on your computer - whichever causes less hum.

Then you click on the little speaker next to the clock, go to "Options" and then "Properties". Select "Recording", and then tick either "Line In" or "Mic", whichever you're going to use (try each of them, to see which one will have less hum).

Then just open a good audio software (Audacity is small, good, free and easy to use: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ - 2mb), hit "Record", and then let your cassete player play the recording.

Unless you're quite experienced with audio editing, do NOT try to remove noise, fix the pitch, etc.

Once everything is recorded, listen to the recording. When the first song finishes, click on the point where it finishes and select everything that is behind. Then export the selection as WAV and delete the selection from the full audio recording. Do the same with all the songs until you've saved all the songs.

NEVER save them as MP3, Ogg or any other format other than WAV.

Then, use FLAC Frontend (http://flac.sourceforge.net - 2.6mb) to convert all the WAV files to FLAC (it's lossless, and it'll make them much smaller, therefore, easier to share - without quality loss. If possible, use Level 8 when converting).

Now, all you have to do is share it using the tutorial on the first page here on this topic. :) If there are clicks, pops, a bit of noise or wrong pitch, I'm pretty sure some experts here on Queenzone will do some good editing and reupload it, giving you credit for originally sharing it.

You don't upload the torrent to the tracker anymore - please look at Richard's updated post. Just create the torrent and post it in your Announce post in this forum. You must be logged in to QZ during torrenting, though.

If you get an error message saying your "torrent is not registered with the tracker", please ignore this. The upload will start as soon as someone downloads, it's a bug. There are a few minor things to be sorted out.
