I've had this problem for quite some time and it really pisses me off...my computer (Windows ME, Internet Explorer 6) doesn't like opening links. If, for instance, someone emails me a link, I'll click on it and it'll start to open it but nine times out of ten it'll tell me that Internet Explorer needs to close and offers to send an error report.
Does anyone know why it does this? It's really annoying.

Try searching the Microsoft support site.

Better advice would be to get rid of ME (crap operating system) and get XP. :)

Also, Firefox is a much better browser.

Good luck!

You urgently need to recallifrate your Tyco Meter. Unmodulise the DGK rating, then set the centigraph to #. When prompted, regauge the pluton levels so that the gigofrag is enabled (recapacitate the VY8 ports if necessary). Keep the autoframe within your monostat, or you will damage your overdrive. Repeat this procedure on your ultraphonic prometers and the problem should be solved.

Failing that, kick the fucker.

I had a similar problem with *cough* Windows 98 on my previous PC, where I used to get the Microsoft error message. It turned out that when I downloaded IE6, it brought a shitload of problems with it.

The only problem I have now is occasionally when an attachment comes with an email and the link doesn't actually appear and that happens on whatever PC I'm sat at, including my super-duper flat-screen at work.

Personally, practically, I agree with Flash. Give the fucking thing a good kick! Mine used to come very close to being dropped out of the window it was strategically placed next to!
Yes, it's me. I'm back. I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on a disk somewhere

Thanks to all, especially Flashy. I have tried your helpful advice and found that while it didn't especially help the computer (hence the large hole in the monitor) it certainly relieved some of my pent up frustration.
This thing's always been a bastard anyway.

I have thrown a couple of computers out the window of a 3rd story building. you should see the look I got.. of course it didn't beat the time I heaved a 25 inch CONSOLE Television out a second story window.. we were cleaning up pieces of that for over a year.

Oh and get rid of Windows ME.. that is your MAIN problem... of course there are people that LOVE It.. I myself cannot stand it.. my choices are either Windows 98SE or Windows XP professional
