Believe me, the truth is:

Freddie was gay or at least bisexual.
He did use drugs on parties (not always) but was not addicted because he had an iron will.
He used sometimes but then again he stopped using for quite a while.

Chances are that he got aids from unprotected sex with someone else. Because he did sleep around.

It was his life, his choice.

Stop spreading false things!

Thank you.
Always look at the bright side of life....
Believe me, I don't like to make propaganda or manipulate people. I admit when I've read this russian book I was very surprised, with some facts even shocked, but think it yourself: Wherefrom do we know with whom Freddie have slept, do we know his private life? At least not 100percently. People can tell everything (I'm too, but I retell those facts from the book), but we cannot know everything. I think it is better to put things in question, to think about them individually and not to follow rumours or the movement of the so called masses. This referrs also to the book. Personally, I have doubts about some facts described in the book; but I also cannot hundertpercently trust the people who tell stories about Freddie.
Important is, and that is also what the author of the book says, that Freddie Mercury was a talanted and warm hearted human beeing, and, that to discover the real person in im, we must listen to his music and to his lyrics; they are a part of his biography, because they are influenced by his persona.
We will never know the whole truth about him (and/or about everything) because there is so few truth in the world.
I hope, you understand me.
freddie wasn't Christian or Cathlic, he was Zoroastrian, and they believe in some other god. There is only one god and that isn't the one Freddie believed in, so as much as we all like him,he more than likely went to hell. It doesn't matter how many good deeds he did or how many people liked his music and all that. the only way to get to heaven is to accept jesus and freddie did not do that. Therefore, he is burning in hell, sad to say. :(
av, please grow up and smell the coffee, how do you know who and what god is? you know nothing like the rest of us do. that means your going to hell for listening to his music, and by the way your brainwashed, that's what most religions do, religion has caused more wars and pain than anything, so grow up, and stop listening to these religious freaks because none of us truly know what the after life brings.

Freddie Mercury is a gross, discusting gay man.

Why is this child trying to get attention. I see you don't know anything about the man.

you already said that on this topic of the board... ok so i get it, your just a 13 year old, homophobic little girl who wants to shock and get some attention with saying things you don't even understand... sorry it doesn't work with any of us honey
yes it was plain to see, yes it was meant to be...

Some time ago I've read a very interesting book about Freddie and Queen by the russian author Anduchova. She's done a very good job analyzing all the rumours and speculations in the life and career of Queen and FM(drugs, sex etc.) and also how the Christian and Zoroastrian faith have influenced the Queen music (f.ex. the battle between good and evil).
According to Anduchova Freddie Mersury wasn't neither gay nor bisexual and he has never taken drugs, exept those which kept him alive in his last days.
She (the author) says Freddie was infected with a needle in a hospital in London (Harley Street or so, can't remember) in Semptember 1986, when he was doing a test for HIV. The test was negative, so first, the infection wasn't at a state when you can see it, it hasn't progressed enough . But Freddie made a second test some time after it. The second test showed that he was infected with the HI-Virus. Why and who did this "crime" on Freddie? The author explains it with the hate and jealousy on Freddie. Beyond these plans could have been a whole industry which wanted to "destroy"/remove Freddie Mercury.
To the topic "gay": Anduchova says (and I think she is right) that there are absolutely no proof of Freddie's homosexuality, nobody knows it, also the photographs do not proove enough. Freddie lived for years with Mary; all the stories from Mary, Jim Hutton, Peter Freestone, the press (!), etc. about Freddie's sexuality could not have been true.
All in all, it is a really interesting and revealing book, and it made me think seriously about the situation of Queen and especially Freddie. I hope it will be translated in English some day, because its written not in a satiric, comical, scandal or whatever manner, it deals very seriously and analytical with the different topics and there are still many questions open.
So think about that I've told you and please tell your opinion,
Thanks

It all seems very interesting. I like to read and hear some serious analysis about things and events that happened in the past. There's so many people who pretend to be serious and honest in their opinions and actually they're just telling bunch of lies. I'd like to read this book someday if it's translated in english...

i posted this in the announce forum if you want it

I understand what you mean...
Indeed, we've never heard his private life from him and all we can get is the stuffs from other people around him sometimes through lots of filters, except his few interviews...in my opinion, I've got much difference between his music and other ones, which is I think due to his background and sexual tendency...after all I stop thinking about his private life which we would never know, and I concentrate on his music instead of pursuing rumors and what is called "true stories" ...what makes his music beautiful and fascinating is his personality itself, whether he was gay or bi he was such a man as made whoever once met him love him and want him to love him/her...what his music hydes behind itself is the only truth and I often feel his great energy to love someone through his music, which would make us want to love someone...it's been the general thing for human being and isn't always easy to us all though...well, all I can believe is what I feel from the bottom of the heart through his great works. That's just my opinion...
Je vais bien. Estoy bien.

The original intolerant writer is wrong about many things.

But he/she may have been referring to the fact that you can become infected with the HIV virus from sharing needles with someone who is HIV+.

In this case, Freddie Mercury was not a heroin addict, so it doesn't matter. And even if he had decided he would take heroin, he could well afford clean works every time.

How sad and twisted can you be? How can you say that Freddie has gone to Hell because his god "wasn't real"? Just because you think your God (and you must be religious otherwise you wouldn't say there is only one god) is the right one, it doesn't mean this is true. There are many different religions and many different Gods. Who are you to decide whether Freddie went to Hell or not? I don't believe in religion, but I believe in Life after Death, and if there is a better place to be then Freddie is most certainly there. And I hope you go to the other place.
Hey vivial, read your profile... either you're lying about your feelings toward Freddie to get attention, or you despise the other three Queen members so much that you were FORCED to choose Freddie as your favorite... or maybe you can't read, but I truly doubt that.

what does it matter??? i'm not a saint but what i do is my business. it's not our place to judge others.
I want to break free from your lies you're so self satisfied I don't need you
AV: what you said is exactly why i am so suspicious of religion. to me, it seems to breed intolerance for other ways of life that are outside that of what you know. i hate the fact that in a lot of religions, it is preached that someone cannot get into heaven or whatever if they do not believe in god. surely if they are good people, you know, selfless and generous to others then they will get into heaven. now do not get me wrong i have several friends who are religious, and they are absolutely gorgeous people, funny and warm hearted. but i just cannot trust something that says if you don't believe in god you going to hell, but if you do, then even if you kill another person, rape and pillage, and then you confess afterwards (catholic) then you will. what the hell?

another thing. the pope gets chosen by the cardinals right. they go and pray to the holy spirit who to vote for? well this is my question to you: if they had all gone to pray to the holy spirit and got their answer, wouldn't they all have voted for the same person? hmmm...
i'm not wierd i'm gifted
