Ok I bought a DVD burner. It is one of those new kinds that burns an image on the actual CD/DVD, whatever the right term is. They all look like CDs to me.
I'm still learning how to use it. If anyone else has one, please share some tips with me!!

I don't see the DVD burner I got on Office Max's website. I am at work right now so I can't take any pictures of it and put on here. When I got it the man told me that they hadn't even put them on the shelf yet as they were still entering them in the UPC system or some shit like that. The DVD player we went to get was on sale for $69.99 and the guy talked us into getting this $129.99 one. As soon as he said it burns images on the DVD I was sold!!!

Get Nero, it is very easy to use, and works great.
DVD Decrypter will help you get by those pesky ones that are protected, and DVD Shrink will make long ones fit....

I have a BenQ Dual-Format/Dual-Layer burner as well.
The term you're looking for is called LightScribe. You need special CD's and DVD's for that technology

If you are talking about the Hewlett Packard Lightscribe then Verbatim are now making discs that can take "lightscribe" images.

At the moment,when it comes to printing images onto disc the Epson R200 and R300 cant be beat imho.

I have a Pioneer 106 dvd-burner. Have enjoyed it sooo much! Especially in taking my own footage and burning it onto dvd to woo people!
I'll wait for the next generation of Dual-Layer burners before buying one (probably a Pioneer) and then I think prices will be good on the DL media, too. Not to mention, better compatibility all-round.
Btw, I have printed both cd and dvd discs via the Epson R300 and it's beautiful! As long as you use the original Epson ink, it's stunning quality. I did try 3rd party ink, but was put off by the dull colour and slight colour difference to what was on-screen.

DVD shrink indeed is THE programme to rip and store a DVD on your hard disk. Copy protection or not, it works always. You can select the quality you want to store it in, what subtitles, what audio tracks etc. It really is easy to use. Even I manage to work with it, and I'm no wizzkid.
Burning I do with Pinacle burning rom (or something like that).
Thanks for all the tips!! I knew I needed special DVDs to burn the images on. I took care of that. I'm blonde, but not a real one you know!
