To all "regular" visitors of Queen+PR-shows:

The intro-tape before the show had at some point always the same songs near to the show-start. Beginning with a weird We Will Rock You-version followed by Feel Like Makin' Love, then that crappy Guns N' Roses-song and then that song with lots of na-na-na naaaa na-na-na-na-na. Then came a very good song. Very rock, very uptempo and completely instrumental. This song was the last song in Basel and Vienna, before It's A Beautiful Day-remix was played. Can anybody help?

In Budapest due to 30 minutes delay, much more songs were played. Right before the beginning of It's A Beautiful Day only a few seconds of a very famous Rock-song very played with those heavy guitar-riffs. I've been looking for this song for ages, but still don't know what it is. Can anyone remember? Again: The very last song, which was played for maybe 5 seconds and which was quickly faded out to start with Beautiful Day.

Thanks for help and

Cheers

Wasn't the instrumental song an Abba song? Or do you mean a different one?

They always start the show late, I wonder why (for example in Prague all people were on their seats at 8 and the stage was ready since 7.30 or so but they still started at 8.30). And they always play the same songs before the show, it's getting really annoying - because it's longer and longer.

Vienna - 3 songs
Munich - 4 songs
Prague - 6 songs (I think)
Leipzig - 6 songs
Frankfurt - 6 songs (I think)
Budapest - 7.5 songs

No, I think this was this na-na-na naaaa na-na-na-na song I mentioned. But right after that came that rock-song, only instrumental, heavy guitars.

Martin, can you remember the last seconds before A Beautiful Day started? THAT song I'm looking for desperately.

In Basel A Beautiful Day startet at 7.57. Exactly at 8.00 pm lights went off and Eminem started. They couldn't be more in time.

Cheers!

I wasn't there, so I don't know but they always play music somehow related to their career such as All The Young Dudes, Since You've Been Gone etc. I think in Brixton they played Smoke On The Water, so maybe that was the famous riff you heard.
Edit: I take this back, you said instrumental - it was a Mike Oldfield track, I think from Ommadawn, Ill find it for you.
I do not want any google ads here.

The instrumental song is an ABBA song: Arrival.
It was covered by Mike Oldfield in an album called QE2 in 1980 (I think). In fact, the first time I listened to the original ABBA version was in the Olympiahalle in Munich(!) and being a fan of the Mike version, as soon as I arrived home I got the ABBA one from iTunes. I hope they'll keep it 'till Belfast because it is a great tune.

Ops! I forgot, as I remember after Arrival, a Guns 'n' Roses song was played: Sweet Child of Mine, and then Beautiful Day ...

Thank you for your help so far, but the 2 songs I'm looking for are still unknown.

So far we have:

We Will Rock You (weird version)
Feel Like Makin' Love (Bad Company)
Sweet Child O' Mine (Guns N' Roses)
Arrival (ABBA)

but now: AFTER Arrival came that fast instrumental rock song - a lot of people recognized it. All these songs were always played round 8 o'clock

AND: Due to the delay in Budapest, at approx. 8.25 they played maybe 5 sec. of another well known heavy rock song.

These two songs I wanna know.

Thanks and
Cheers!

na-na-na naaaaa na-na-na-na is now definitively identified as "Arrival" by ABBA.

sorry William, you're no help ;)

Being a Hungarian i take it as an offense. Watch your language, please!

People were waiting for the show to start, and they were drinking their beer outside, weren't they?

I am not Hungarian, but i was at the concert and they started late because of problems with Brian´s guitar, as u all could have seen.

That one was Led Zeppelin's Kashmir from their Physical Graffiti album.

I can't remember the other song you've mentioned though :(
