A few days ago, I was watching a film about the life of a singer, and I thought, why doesn't someone make one about Freddie?
I think it'd be a good idea, a charter of the life of the worlds best ever musician, from his childhood in zanzibar to his death in 1991.
Does anyone else like the idea? If so, do you think they could do it well? And who would play who (maybe the real Brian and Roger?)

Will we get a peek?
Freddie Mercury, the Untold Story was included in the Freddie Mercury The Solo Collection. It was the story of his life from birth to death, with interviews from family and friends.
Well yeah, but I mean like
Films like this:

You know, dramatisations, but obviously based on real events. (Films such as the benny goodman story, the frank sinatra story, etc etc)
This probably sounds corny, but I've always thought a good name for something like this could be "Prince of the Universe: The Freddie Mercury Story" (Uber-corny)

Maybe the whole idea got canned, but they even spoke of it on Entertainment Tonight over here once. I dunno.

God Forbid! I would love to see Freddie's story in a biopic movie, but NOT starring ANYONE from Will & Grace....EEEEEEEEEEW!!!! agreed:(
I hate the idea of filming the life of Freddie Mercury.
Why?
Because I'm convinced that it can not be done good enough.

No, bad idea. I would hate thinking of the person who acts as him and not the real person whenever I thought of Freddie. It's like when you imagine what people look like in books and then when you watch the film you can NEVER remember what you thought they looked like before. Strange example, but still, there is only one Freddie and I don't think anybody else even acting can portray that great man.

I disagree. So long as the focus primarily on the musical side, and not on the side such as his illness, or his personal sexual preferences, (Although they must be mentioned, there crucial points) I think it could be a tastefully done film.
Will we get a peek?
Sure, as soon as I'm satisfied with it. You can expect it around July/August.
so thomas who would you cast as freddie?
and yea a movie would be great only if it wasn't some low budget flick:(
I would cast Jim Carrey as Freddie......
