Any Crew Pictures

Anyone have crew photos, load in or load out photos? I always tend to take a few (if I am lucky) adds to my collection of the total tour experience.

Thanks Lisser- I am really interested in the "behind the scenes" activities. Many people work hard to bring this concert to us. I remember Brian mentioning they have 9 full size trucks for the gear,stage etc.

Curiosity questions- how long does take to set up, strip down each show? How many "roadies" do they have for the tour? or do they contract locally? Have they had some interesting encounters at the venues? Brian mentioned the delays in spain due to the size of the loading dock- causing delays to the start of the Barcelona gig.

I just can't believe someone here does not have a story or picture to share.

i'm sorry i don't have any pictures, as i didn't bring a camera to the show. i saw the taking down of the stage and equipment though, and they do use nine lorries. i'm sorry i have nothing more interesting to say or any good pics.

Maybe I could give you a picture of my fellow occupant. He was part of the crew deconstructing the stage in Leipzig. They obviously hire different companies in each city.
It was funny when I told him on the day of the concert that in the evening I was going to see Queen, he said "oh, right, it's today. I'm going as well. But only to work."

I know he's got a ton of info about the crew from when Queen were in their prime. Not sure what all he has for the Queen + PR though. He'll get it though.

I'm afraid my site doesn't have anything about the crew.

As Hank says, most of the crew for building the stage is hired in each of the cities. Some people are still the same as in the old Queen days (Pete Malandrone for example) but over 90% of the crew are "new" in this Queen business.

I asked Crystal if he was participating. He said he wasn't asked to and he didn't ask to. I'm not too sure any of the old crew that did the physical part could stand the lifting and such at their ages now. It definitly is a job for someone in prime shape I think!! I know I couldn't do half of what they did!!!

Can you imagine being responsible for putting Freddie's piano on the stage? Carrying Roger's drums on the stage and setting them up? Or that damn gong? I'm sure Brian's Red Special stayed with him while in transit. Not sure though.

Good point on the heavy lifting invovled. I think Pete Maladrone watches over the "old lady". I think some people have the impression that Brian always is within a stones throw to the RS. I also would have thought that some of their regular "helpers" may have been promoted to supervising or managing the younger crew to insure that everything meets Queen's high expectations.

Well, I took some pictures of the set-up the day before the Brixton gig. But I concentrated on the gear, realy. (There are some people working with them of course, but it's mostly boxes and lighting rigs. All taken outside by the way.
