Apparently, according to a post by the forum administrator on the QOL notice board, one of the support acts was confirmed yesterday.

They can't say who it is as yet, but are sure it will be leaked soon.

Any idea's folks?

My guess would be Wire Daises and/or The Darkness.

I have no inside knowledge or anything just my stab in the dark.
R
The Darkness are too big to be their support.
D
I realise that the Darkness are pretty big but do you think they could fill Hyde Park themselves?

It might be a good opportunity for them to play to 85,000 people and introduce themselves to a wider audience / new fans.

I might well be wrong be I can see why they might be attracted to that.

I guess we won't know who the support acts are until they decide to annonce them officially.

I personally don't mind I will be there to see Queen+PR any other act is a bonus.

Ian Hunter.

The Darkness.

Def Leppard.

In that order.

(Well you never know)!
To cast aside the fury of the battle. To turn my weary eyes for home.

I can't see the Darkness opening for them. I would lean more toward Wire Daisies...but really I don't care cause I won't be there..*sob* ;-(
R
God forbid its the Darkness I have never heard such a contrived god awful vocalist in my whole life. Lets hope its a decent band or bands Muse for example.
Shadow boxing with yourself just seems to get you no where!

According a a announcement on Brian May's website a while ago there is going to be 2 support acts at Hyde Park. I agreed that the Wire Daises would be good for one spot. The question is who would be best for the other.

Be funny if it was the Immortals

From QOL, 04.27.05 2:20 pm Eastern Time: Queen + Paul Rodgers are pleased to announce that they can now confirm Brit Rockers Razorlight as support at Hyde Park, London on Friday 8th July.
I saved Spike's life in 'Nam.

Bummer. Near Death Experience would have been a better choice.
You know, good times are now.

While I'm not a big fan of Razorlight, they really will put Q&PR to shame. Their shows are very energetic and theyre a tight band.... exactly what Q&PR AREN'T.
H
I have Razorlight album and they are good, but I would never imagine seeing them as support act for this gig. Oh well, why not :)

ive seen razorlight in alexandrer palace they do a bloody good show.
Is the real life?, Is this just fantasy?

Why the fuck would I have seen them in Rotterdam? Did they suddenly come alive that night?! I was at the Brixton show and have listened to a number of bootlegs from the shows after it. Theyre not tight by any stretch of the imagination.
