Omega - I know this may not be the answer you wish to hear, but, the Smile CD on E-bay is both genuine and official. By Promo, it means the "normal" CD with "Promo" stamped on it. It is neither very rare or anything special - so £20 seems fair.

To use e-bay, just register.

I can't see how anyone could be so "eager" - yet ignore such advice. Personally, I would bite the owner's hand-off!

That's quite a high asking price for Ghost of a Smile, isn't it? I got my copy from Andy's Records in Aberystwyth for £9.99 back in '98. Or did I just get a damned fine (read lucky) deal?

Not quite. I got my copy for £7.99 in HMV a few years ago.

NO - because it is NOT a "regular" version of "Ghost Of A Smile" which is being sold. It is a promotional version - which although is basically same - is a lot more collectable because of it's limited quantity.

Does that mean that If I got a rubber stamp with 'PROMO' on it, I could sell my record collection for extortionate amounts? If so, cool! I need to raise money for the deposit on a house. Stamp shop here I come! ;-)

No. Not quite. Good try - but no cigar!
