Thanks Wiley. Very sad and as you say joy and despair at the same gig!! I've not read Jim Hutton's book but you know what they say...no secrets between lovers.

I remember this being mentioned in '86 and as I've already said a distant friend of a friend saw the stretcher being carried away. As far as I can recall, the person concerned was a Status Quo fan and was knifed by a biker I think.

A very sad incident indeed.

Hi I was at the concert, am a nurse and was one of the few people who attempted to save the guy who was stabbed. His name was Paul.  I was with him giving him CPR until the stretcher came. Unfortunately he died. I will never forget him & hope his fmaily know he was not alone.
