Bittorent client?

I'm new here and do not really understand what a bittorent client is. Do you have to pay to get one? Do you have to pay to download here?

I've used BitTornado and Azureus* (*java needed), both work ok. Azureus lets you have simultaneous downloads. Go to BitTornado.com and download the software, it's very easy to use. Good Luck!
