Can we please have some respect for our fellow members here? Remember, one thing, the music of Queen is what brought us all together.

There is nothing wrong with a discussion, or a disagreement... but it can be done with tact and professionalism.

Here's an idea.

If you like Queen, any or all era's....then you are a Queen fan. period.

I am getting sick and tired of reading one group saying that anyone who comes near Brian or Roger trying to play music, and their name isn't John or Freddie, automatically suck donkey ass.

Then, the other group feels that if you don't welcome Paul Rodgers into your heart, then you aren't a "real Queen fan"..... or my favorite "that's what Freddie would have wanted."

This is a steamy crock of bullshit
A) No one belief system is better than the other, nor makes you more or less of a fan.
B) How many here knew Freddie personally?? I think its hard for us to say "Thats what Freddie would have wanted".

In conclusion, Richard has been nice enough to create such a wonderful site for us fans of what I feel is the greatest rock band ever to come together and discuss.

And here is the kicker folks...
Its not like there is only one message board where we post everything.

If you sit up at night, cussing Paul Rodgers out until you fall asleep, then if you hop on here, and find yourself smack dab in the middle of a thread where "how great Paul Rodgers is" is being discussed..... then, which do you think will gain you more respect with your peers???

1) Leaving that thread, respectfully, and typing elsewhere on a topic you are interested in
OR
2) Typing "Paul can lick my sweaty balls"... Queen 1973-1991 RIP???

Use common sense.

Conversely if you land on a thread where people say Queen ended in 1991.... and you just came back from a Queen + Paul Rodgers show.... where you had an awesome time...

Why waste your time saying:

"Look you assholes, I went to the show last night, and it rocked my ass!!"

Are you stupid enough to think that "Sharon G" or "Bryans Permed Poodle" are going to reply:

"Oh, you had a good time???"....well then "PAUL RULES".

They have their own beliefs, and you are going to change them over the internet chat.

The great thing is, this band we know as Queen has left us with such a vast selection of material, and astounding variety.... that while we are all here for the same reason.... we all will have our own favorite parts of this awesome machine known as Queen.

Try to keep in mind we are all here for the same reason. Love of this band.

Queen fans can be divided only of their fave album tastes, but not periods! What's going on with you guys? Each new day brings another one petition about something! Do you remember what a bullshit was going on around here in December when they told us about their forthcoming tour? Everything have been said. Enough!

Maybe Richard could add another fourm heading "Paul Rodgers Hater" so all the RIPs could congregate there and leave the rest of the site to those fans that want to respond respectfully.

I totally agree, I too am tired of hearing people judging one another about not being true fans!! Right said. I think some discussion on the matter is OK - I actually first joined this forum just to find out what other Queen fans thought of the tour (so glad I joined btw!), and I found and stil find this type of discussion interesting. What gets on my nerve is when the debate becomes inflamed and disrespectful.

What really gets me is that five or six years down the road when it seems fairly obvious that they will never tour again, a lot of naysayers will be saying

"Gee, I suppose that Paul Rodgers chap wasn't so bad, at least he got them to tour again, and the live DVD kicks ass. Damn, I wish I wasn't so stubborn back in '05 and went ahead and saw them."

You can bet some sort of scenario like this will play out.

I agree too because some of these people here are ridiculous. Petitions to ban someone, counter petitions, negative and nasty remarks. This is the best petition on Queenzone I've ever seen.
