Jellyfish, an american band from the early '90's had a great mix of rock & pop and were willing to try different sounds both musically & vocally - released 2 albums (Bellybutton & Spilt Milk)and both are worth a listen - saw them a few times when they toured the UK and they never let me down

Just listen to the German Rock/Metal Band
"Rough Silk" ...they sound very similar to Queen.
On their first 4 records they sound great, i can reccomend

"Roots of hate"
their first album, the singer wasn`t that good at that time but on the second his voice was much better. Nice Hardrock songs, the guitar player is much influenced by Brian.

"Walls of never"
Their 2nd release, great songs, fast rock numbers beautiful Piano Ballads and the singer got so much better that his voice sounds a bit like Freddie`s. One song reminds me of "Somebody to love" and another is similar to "My melancholy blues"

"Circle of hate...or the secret lies of timekeeping"

The first record I bought, because there was a sticker on the cover that said "Queen goes Metal".
I bought it and got blown away by the first number "The end". Beautiful melodies and great singer, great piano playing and powerful riffs. The whole record is amazing!!! Get it if you can.

"Mephisto"

The last release with this great singer Jan Barnett. After that album he left the band and they became quiet bad. The rest of the musicians left also and the Keyboard player recruited some new ones. But Mephisto is a strong record, they`re using Rammstein riffs, blast beats and mix that with his Freddie-alike voice. There are also beautiful breathtaking ballads on this release. I LOVE IT!!!

So check out this band if you can. It`s so sad they didn`t became famous. They toured with Deep Purple for example...
Here we are...born to be kings..

YES Definitely, this is a dutch singer, and i've heard some songs of him, also a few covers, and bevieve it or not, 99% Freddie in him. He's so good!

i think he's a reincarnation of Freddie, exactly the same voice, he's really, and i mean really good

You got to be kidding
"On the first day Pim & Niek created a heavenly occupation. Pim & Niek blessed it and named it 'Loosch'." (Genesis 1:1)

Curse of the Tollund Man was good, I actually like it heaps better than just about all of the Darkness songs because it tells a silly story. Songs that tell silly stories remind me of Queen.

However, the Darkness' singer doesn't have Roger Taylor's mastery of the rock falsetto. Listen to the first ten seconds of "In the Lap of the Gods".

Bands that sound like Queen?

I can think of two:

None

and

No-one.
djaef - Queen fan since 1678, after the Dorog concert!

first, the name "i believe in a THING CALLED LOVE".... the only song from the darkness that i've heard,as almost the same name from a Queen song,is it Bohemian Rhapsody? don't think so...

and the solo from that same song?if i didn't heard about darkness, and only listen to the solo part of the song,i would say it's a new Queen song/Brian May solo.

considering that this is the only song that i've heard from them,i think they are a Queen "wannabe".But i can change my mind,if i downl... ups,if someone offers me a darkness cd
