Here's an idea.
How about Kansas? They would be far superior to Boston if you're gonna have a classic 70's band on the bill.
Are Boston even together anymore? Kansas just did a UK tour, so I know they're still kickin'.
The guys in Kansas were Queen fans themselves and I think they would be a better fit.
Now that would be an amazing show!(as long as it don't cut down Q+PR's time)

Nah...
Knute, I'm a huge classic rock fan...but I wouldn't walk across the street to hear the always depressing, and stunningly boring "Dust in the wind".
While Boston never pumped me up too much....
For me, Boston is far superior to Kansas.
But honestly, I prefer no opening act.... its like wanking for 90 minutes until you get to the real action...
I like to get to the point quick.

Fair enough, but I must say that Dust in the Wind is their worst song by far. I can't even stand it.
They have some really great songs. Like The Wall and What's On My Mind.
Knute-
Yeah, I know Kansas have some hardcore fans, and obviously someone like Dust in the wind.
Not me.
I'd rather listen to 24 hours of KC and the Sunshine band, then go see Kansas.

I love Boston, so that would be very cool. And I think they toured a couple of years ago.
southwest airlines is cheap to fly any where in usa, mostly $79-129 USD a flight, problem is not many in the north, but any where in the south is a givin.
Major cities that are near me that would be a givin, are chicago-detroit-cleveland-cinninati-st.louis, other cities are more travel time, hard part about following a band in the states is the distance you need to travel, cheaper hotels are
Motel 6
travel lodge
red roof inn
for me peronally, 3 shows would be enough =)
Northwest airlines pick up where Southwest leaves off honey buns. Good fares no doubt! Those $79 fares though are one way, so it's $79 for each way, still a great deal!!!
Yes, perfect for just going to cities if you are following the band, no need for round way, or you can just rent a car, I think 180 USD a week, unlimited miles for the small car, I think cavlier for chevy and grand am for pontiac, or a ford ranger for 160 USD from budget, I did that when I went to NYC.
And, if you're coming from UK and you rent a car, remember, we drive on the wrong side of the road here . . . ;-) last Monday was in a car on the way back from the Newcastle gig to Manchester and my friends started getting tired, and switched drivers. I wanted to offer to drive, even though I had been up for 48 hours straight--jet lag and exhaustion zapped by the fact that I had just SEEN QUEEN LIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1980!--but then realized I would totally hose up over which side of the road to drive on--not a problem on the M-whatever, but when making turns at intersections a real problem for the slow witted . . .
Am in the metro-DC area, but Roger and Brian have already requested the spare room. I have no idea where I'm going to put Paul, Spike, Jamie, and Danny. I guess there's the old Grateful Dead-style pitching of the tents in the yard and the woods behind the house solution. I wonder if that would bother the neighbors! The weather's usually still mild in the fall . . .
I'm hoping the tour will come to either Montreal or Toronro - either way, I'll be there - (Vancouver seems a bit too far, for someone from Newfoundland).
If anyone has a pad where they can let a fellow Queen-fan can crash for the night then that'd be tremendous...just thought I'd ask tho.
Cheerzzz

That should read TORONTO - HEHE. (obviously...tho of they went to toronro (or however the hell I spelled it) it would also be great for those living there.
Toronto is a MUST Date on the tour (and I sure hope they get here)....I'm guessing that there may be more Queen fans per capita in Toronto than any other North American big city....they've always done well here....even Brian May's solo songs were #1 on Q107's top 10 at 10 (Resurrection and Love Token)...they get lots of airplay....but I'll see them anywhere...whether its Montreal, Detroit, Chicago, New York, or Dallas etc....
.....they are still coming right.....why haven't we heard anymore? has something happened?

Well, I've already promised the spare bedroom to Brian and Roger,as it's always great fun to see the two of them fight over who gets to use the mirror in the bathroom! But, there's always the two sofas in the living room. I'm in the Mid-Atlantic area . . . near DC . . .
Chi-town...they at least better hit us!!!
According to Roger's comments after "Say It's Not True" in Leipzig, Jamie's FROM Chi Town (where Lido put the money down and let it roll . . .)

You ready, Freddie?

Hmm . . . seems I already said basically the same thing a few days ago. Damned evil twin!

Really? I had no idea...well then it looks like they'd have to play Chi-town then! :P I mean it's one of the larger cities anyway in the midwest...
