What a rockin' show. I saw them in '82 at Elland road, then in St James in '86 and though no one will ever match Freddie in any shape or form, Paul did a magnificent job and brought some of his fabulous reportoire to the show, which was appreciated by everyone.
By the way, the night was made even more special because I got Roger's drum stick and handed it straight to my drummer son, who's delighted face I will never forget.
Thanks for a fabulous evening.

Great!!! But be be aware... even Roger's drum sticks can break in two! :-))
Sweet! ;-)
:-) Don't worry, he's not going to use it. He's said he's going to frame it as a reminder of the best concert he's been to.
Thats great, that is! I saw him hoy it into the crowd just to the left of me- I felt so jelous!!

By any chance was that kid called JOHN WATSON! cos he's a mate of mine at school! he showed me it today! battered to bits! shows how hard he drums like! (roger T i mean) i couldnt believe John was only that far away from me, i must of been feet away!
No, it wasn't. I didn't see Roger throw the other one either.
Is it a signature Vic Firth with two red marks ?
Btw, this was at the Newcastle gig

yes i know it was, but Roger threw one drum stick backstage and the other in the corwd, and me mate john had a drum stick battered to bits with the exact same things you said before on it! unless he quickly threw a spare aswell, i dunno!
I got the one he thru forwards from the end of the catwalk. Only a short throw cos there was only 2 people between me and the barrier.
I wondered what happened to the other one. Looks like the mystery is solved.

so you got one, one was thrown backstage, so where did that third come from?
Our Roger must have 3 hands :-D, unless John W. got the one that went backstage.
Is there anyone from up a height can say how many he threw out front ?

I knew it right from the beginning... this tour is " only for the bucks they can make"! :-))
Poor old Roger... I still can remember the times when he was on Tour with the Cross... Roadies where throwing more than a dozen of "his drum sticks" into the audience after the show had finished... maybe they wanted us to leave the arena, dont know. :-))) Still have three of his sticks since May 1990 when they played in Berlin... The times they are a changing... ;-))
