I was gonna upload this on Sunday but I decided to do this tonight.
Anyway, I believe it was broadcast on 20th November 1983 and was recorded in the Duke Of York Theatre, London. In this show, Brian talks about his guitar (obviously!!!) from the strings to the pick-ups - you should hear it when he demonstrates his 'Rickenbacker Beatles' and 'The Shadows' sound, his style of playing, soloing and in particular THAT SOLO. He also performs music to a Pavane suite arranged by Peter Warlock along with 2 student guitarists - a beautiful piece in it own right and worth the download on its own and finishes off with (probably) his first ever solo performance of 'Love Of My Life' - well most of it anyway.
I should also mention that these files are from a really old cassette tape, which sadly bit the dust a while ago, and so there is hiss on the sound. There is some slight interference on the sound due mainly to a shite ariel but it is not much. Also, there is about 20 seconds of the show missing due to me having to turn the tape round to record on the other side (aaahhhhhh the old days of having to use cassettes for recording - memories indeed!!!!!). This is just after the file '10 Acoustic Guitar' and before the file '11 Pavane Finale'. Anyway, download and enjoy. Finally, for those of you who wanted this in flac it is not possible for two reasons:-
1 As I said the original tape bit the dust a while ago so its not possible for me to access the original source anymore and
2 When I did create these MP3's it was actually a few years ago, before flac was heard of, and just before the tape 'died'. And no, I didnt keep the full size wave files either as my old hard drive was only 4GB. So what you get is what I am left with. Sorry :(
I had uploaded this before some years ago to Pieter Cargill's old site ('ElfinCottage' I think it was called) an excellent old site that used to work in conjunction with the old MP3 section of this site but the files were upped in dreadful Real Audio format.

Freddie, after you click the free button and get taken to the next page, go to the bottom of that page and wait for the link to appear - it should say something about a download ticket just before the link appears. Also you probably will have to wait an hour before downloading the next link due to Rapids' downloading rules. Hopefully that will help.
