I read in the Sunday paper that the New Pope ordered that the Editor of some USA Catholic Jesuit publication called The American, be FIRED, because the Editor's views are too "liberal" and in line with that of the former Pope John Paul, and don't conform to the conservative views of the New Pope.
Was a really nasty article, (about the New Pope) getting this very good, long time Editor, fired. I think what the New Pope did, sucks. Sorry, but in this nation (the USA) we have freedom of the Press and freedom of Speech. What he did is called a conflict of interest.
BTW, The Editor does NOT work for the Pope, he works for the Publication.
But the New Pope went to the publication's owners and put pressure on them.
I went on line to see if it's posted, but since it's in the Sunday edition, it's not up yet. It's in the Baltimore Sun.
So it might be up tomorrow at www.sunspot.com.
But I think this sucks BIG time.
