I didn't say it sucked, I said it was overrated.

It is my favorite more often that the others.
To me, you have to sit and listed to things like QII and Innuendo.
I listen to Hot Space almost every weekend while getting ready to go out. It just puts me in a great mood. It is simple enough that I can 'ignore' it but still hear everything that's going on.
It isn't distracting while getting ready.

Overated??? Innuendo Overated??
I think not.

You know what is overated at Queenzone.com??

Queen 2.

Seriously.... I think the 2 albums that came before (Queen 1) and after (Sheer Heart AttacK) ....absolutely, without question, blow Queen 2 out of the water.

Had Queen put out 10 albums of Queen 2 sounding stuff..... I would not be on this website, because I wouldn't be that big of a fan.

Queen 2.

I actually agree. Queen II is quite boring and I don't know why people love it so much. It certainly didn't attract much attention on the charts!

it peaked at no5 - which is pretty good for a band early on in their careers
also it was in the charts for 29 weeks

- that's 10 weeks more than hot spunk, 11 more weeks than the Game, 14 more than Flash Gordon, 9 more than news of the world, 14 more than live at wembley and loads more than GHIII and Queen Rocks

so don't dis this early gem

No, no I wouldn't.

4. Greatest Hits 3

No, Hot Space is just slim of making the top 5.. And Queen II to me was just after Hot Space.

All I have to say is to each his own.

I would - its safe to say that this has a awesome blend of funk, hard rock, and r & b......when you listen to staying power and backchat on live at the bowl, you realize how much even better those songs were live - las palabras? brillant......body language - creepy but catchy....calling all girls....pure 80s - this album rules!!!!!

From up above...

I wasn't dissing "Queen 2" as an "early gem".

Queen 1 is one of my favorite Queen albums.

I just think Queen 2 is easily the most overated Queen album from the fans.

Queen 2 has the most songs of any Queen album on it that I personally don't care for at all.

I really only like 4 songs on Queen 2...
1) Father to son
2) The Loser in the End
3) Nevermore
4) March of the Black Queen

Thats right...I like "The Loser in the End" better than:
White Queen
Some Day One Day
Orge Battle
The Fairy Fellers Master Stroke

These songs all sound like lame B-sides that weren't good enough for Queen 1.

Had I been alive to buy Queen 1 when it came out...(which is a f**king masterpiece) ..... then anticipated the arrival of Queen 2 for a year...

And then played Queen 2 .....oh, what a letdown that would have been for me.

For me...and I know, I am in a minority here:
Hot Space > Queen 2

Absolutely not....it would be a good album for many other bands but not Queen....just too much of weak songs like Body Language and Cool Cat and poor production....too much synth, poor drum sounds and not enough guitar....

and on that other thread re: Queen II....it was good but I don't think it stacks up to other albums...maybe because certain tracks sound a bit dated now (not up to Queen's later production standards)...the White Side was the best side more me although many Queen II fantatics would prefer the Freddie side... I would still prefer Innuendo, A Night At the Opera, The Miracle, The Works, Jazz, News Of The World, Sheer Heart Attack and Queen 1.

Hot Space is very underated!!! Staying Power, Under Pressure, Las Palabras de Amor! Great Songs! Yes, there are some songs that aren't that great on it: Dancer, Body Language. But they're not that bad. Here's my top 5 albums:

5. The Game
4. Queen
3. A Night At The Opera
2. The Works
1. Innuendo
How can I go on from day to day? Who can make me strong in every way?
R
1- INNUENDO
2- A NIGHT AT THE OPERA
3- A DAY AT THE RACES
4- QUEEN 2
5- QUEEN
6- THE MIRACLE
7- SHEER HEART ATTACK
8- JAZZ
9- A KIND OF MAGIC
10- THE GAME
11- MADE IN HEAVEN
12- FLASH

13- THE WORKS
14- NEWS OF THE WORLD
15- HOT SPACE

FOR ME, HOT SPACE WAS A TERRIBLE RECORD... BUT, MISTAKES HAVE GUIDED THE BAND TO BETTER THINGS...

AND BY THE WAY, I THINK INNUENDO IS STILL UNDERRATED... THAT RECORD HAS NOT RECIEVED YET, THE MERIT IT DESERVES...
