Of all the cities & venues that I could see Queen+Paul Rodgers at, the one that means the most to me, is London at Wembley.
Wembley is my favorite music venue in the world even though I've never been there, because of all of the memorable wonderful concerts I've seen on TV and video there, from Live Aid to well Queen Live At Wembley Stadium, The FM Tribute Concert, etc.
And of course Queen is my favorite band.
Everyone who goes to Wembley Wednesday...please come back with a FULL review/report/details.

Wembley Arena is a an awful shed of a building - outdated & naff sound compared to more modern venues - apart from being next door to the stadium, they don't have a lot in common.
Nice indian reastaurant just outside, opposite the Wembley Plaza Hotel though - if I'm ever working in the area I visit there and would recommend it

Arlene..Wembley Stadium was torn down.. Luckily, I saw a Bon Jovi show there beforehand.

It's not at Wembley Arena either, that's having a refurb.

Agreed. I've seen a few shows there and you're right. Outdated, a glorified shed and shit accoustics compared to more modern arenas. NIA, NEC Birmingham and the much better MEN Manchester are more state of the art.
Maybe that's why it's having a well needed facelift. The gig is in the temporary Pavilion 10,000 seater. Guess this will be demolished when the Arena is re-opened.
BTW, The Rolling Stones are christening the New Wembley with a show in 2006. Don't know when exactly but probably sometime in the summer after the F A Cup final.

It sure is and it's a fitting tribute and a great honour that the Millenium Stadium staged the F A Cup finals from 2001 - 2005. Only stadium in the UK with a big enough capacity to stage the event after the old and grubby Wembley was demolished. A magnificent stadium which is currently the only one of 3 currently, I believe in Europe with a retractable roof. Designed by an American architect I think who also designed the Olympic Stadium in Atlanta 1996. It is also bang in the centre of a major city whereas most international stadiums are on the outskirts.
Only the new Wembley and a redeveloped Old Trafford will be larger stadiums in terms of capacity.....90,000 & 75,000 respectively.

I went on the website, and read about the NEW state of the art stuff for the NEW stadium under construction. Sounds GREAT.

Because while I know the Original Wembley was torn down, this is still a part of Wembley and it has very special memories for me...Queen's finest hours were at Wembley in 85 at Live Aid an in 86 for their Magic Tour. It's been 19 years since they played there. And I STILL wish I could be there, for very sentimental reasons.

Arlene - it isn't the Wembley that Queen played at in 1985 & 1986, it is a much smaller inside venue, next to the old stadium.
Unfortunately I have only got seated tickets, so although I will enjoy it, the concert I am ore looking forward to is on 8th July at Hyde Park.

Arguably, they are only fine hours because they are so widely available to watch a second time around.
Queen played far better shows in the 1970's than they ever did in the '80's.
