I recall once reading that John used to collect cars, as well as Roger, i'm not sure, I read too that Freddie used to have Volvo's but he didn't drive.
@Arlene: The Jaguar commercial was aired here in the States but not too much. Very good one btw. And some companies that use the image of some artists give them cars but that is part of the contract, i pay you for your song and image but you have to use my car, not everyone does that, generaly they only pay for the rights of the song. In this particular case i don't think they gave them jaguars, that usually happens when they use the complete image of a band or artist.

Roger had Ferrari also in the mid of 80s
John had a Volvo as I'm sure it was on one of the Magic Years videos that Jackie Stewart mentioned it. He couldn't believe that a rock star (in the 70's) would actually have one.
Roger also liked Speed boats as I recall. Might be wrong though. As well as fast women.

John=3 wheeled Reliant Robin
I was under the impression that Roger had quite an array of impressive cars, including at least one Ferrari and an Aston Martin. Have seen an early photo of him with a Mini, and a still early, but after the checks started coming in photo of him leaping out of a Benz convertible, maybe a light grey/steel blue late 70s 450-500SL? that I assume was his.
Read an article somewhere dated at least 5 years ago where the writer claimed that Brian peeled out behind the wheel of a Benz.
Can anyone confirm whether Brian and/or Roger own/owned MX5s? I have a red one, black leather interior, black top . . . 1997 model, less than 30,000 miles. Won't put into writing the speed at which I've topped it out, but trust me, it can get you where you need to go in a hurry! Yes, I am in love with my car.

The Jaguar commercial was played every commercial brake during the Wimbledon tournament last year. Loved it every time.
During Roger's last solo tour I know that he was driving himself between concerts in an Audi Quattro. I remember seeing him getting out of it around the back at Manchester Uni - probably better to leave that than a Ferrari!!

I think every rock star did at that time..;-)
According to his 1984 personal file(you should find it in the Roger's pix section)in that year he owned a Chevrolet Corvette(parked in L.A.),an Aston Martin and two Range Rovers,which where in England...No mentioning about any Ferrari,but I think he had/has nowadays,too..
oh yeah amd freddie never learned to drive.
I thought he had a motorbike he drove..i've heard he wasn't a good driver
^ WTF???? You bring this thread up after two years???? :S
