Hi fellow downloaders.
I'm sure this has been discussed many times before, but is there any way we could get some sort of share ratio stuff going here? There are a lot of people just grabbing stuff without giving anything back and I think some sort of share ratio enforcement would be a good idea to keep torrents alive a little bit longer.
Is it possible or would it require a different server? Any ideas?
Cheers,
Linus

Er... Pardon me for putting this in the "Announce" section. I guess this is a sort of request. Please move, delete or whatever you see fit.
Richard said it would be ready "in a couple of months"
I think this would be the first step to make torrents situation better.

That's great news! Thanks for the info. :-)
And while we are at it could we please get a WORKING Coke machine in here... I have lost over $300.00 in the last month alone..
I think it would help keep people a little more accountable.
And it may be asking a lot but separate forums for MP3s and lossless torrents may be an idea. It will help separate the lossy crap from the other stuff.
No offense intended for any one who downloads the stuff- i've grabbed the odd MP3 sample... it's just that it pollutes the trading pool and people I know are becoming wary of bands whose material is known to be traded in lossy format. (Queen, XTC, Sublime to name a few).

That sounds like a good idea to me. Then if you just want torrents you can look in that section and if you just want MP3s you can look in the other.

That sounds like a really good idea...
But why stop there? The "lossless forum" could be made into a place where the serious traders (all three of them) can exchange the Houston, Drammen, and Urk concerts between themselves as many times as they wish. :)
