When you say full version of '39 do you mean the two verse rather than one verse version he does sometimes.. or the actual full song?
This is just the same i actually wondered about in the other Belfast-thread ;)

Did anyone notice what they were rehearsing during the soundcheck? I don't expect any surprizes though ;)

Fuck I dunno, it seemed like the full version to me. Though I was caught up in the atmosphere of it all so I could be wrong of course!

Hey I heard that they did the Free tune Fire and Water!
Is this true? If so, that's awesome!
Love that tune!

Seems as some people confirm the performance of FIRE AND WATER. Nice surprize, hope there will be some download soon :)
What was it played between?

Cant remember where it was played.
There definitely 2 Paul Rodgers songs in a row, of which F&W was the second.
Maybe after Cant Get Enough ???

Brixton, Birmingham and Cardiff were great, looking forward to Dublin tonight. Hope they do Fire & Water but hopefully not at the expense of another Rodgers song. Maybe they could drop 'Magic'. See you all in Dublin, driving up from Cork.

right you lot, just back from belfast this morning after spending the night on the floor at the ferry terminal at larne! so i'm tired, hungry, smelly but boy was it worth all that effort!!!!!!
what a fuckin gig!
set list is as follows(because one of the roadies gave it to me after the gig, ha!)
reaching out
tie your mother down
break free
fat bottom girls
wishing well
another one bites the dust
crazy little thing called love
under pressure
say its not true
39
love of my life
hammer to fall
feel like making love
fire and water (first time this tour!!)
i'm in love with my car
gtr solo
drum solo
last horizon
days of our lives
radio ga ga
cant get enough
kind of magic
i want it all
bo rhap
--------------
show must go on
all right now
we will rock you
champions
almost 3 hours long folks and it was fantastic!!
brian was very unhappy with his guitars and kept changing all the way through the gig- dont know why, sounded perfectly ok to me, he's the man i suppose!!
a kind of magic was again very weak and dissapointing,(my own humble opinion of course)
paul loved that show last night, he seemed a lot more confident, happy and at ease which produced a great performance!
rodger puffed and wheezed all the way through, looks totally fucked and drained, as if this tour cant end quick enough, but he still gave his all and put in an admiral performance.
all in all a very good gig, not quite as powerful as manchester but came damn well close!!!!

They should have filmed this concert for DVD release, absolutley amazing it was. Loved the way they just played everything, instead of dropping certain songs to fit others in as I think they may have done in other gigs?
Yea we couldnt help but spot how bad Roger looked by the end. I think this will be the last time you see Roger tour I'm afraid, he did look absolutley fucked by the end.
And yes, I think Paul deserves alot of credit for his performace last night. I don't think anyone could have asked for a better performance from him.

Will it fuck be the last time Roger tours. Remember they are about to have a long break before they play the outdoor shows. He'll be fine. He's the man. You see all these drummers today who just drum, the lazy gits. Roger is THE MAN. Wish they would sort out Ga Ga though. Backing tracks should be banned live. But I prefer Roger singing it. So I'm stuck.

I wasnt inferring that he wont be doing the outdoor show. I hope I am wrong and I do get the chance to see them again after this tour.

Flying back home on Saturday lunchtime (family of 6 on night out from Isle of Man!!), in departures at City Airport and met Brian and Roger, two lovely fellas who kindly signed autographs, chatted about the gig and posed for photos - what a weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
