so you've downloaded your files through a Bittorrent client, you just need to play them! I'd just like to know what devices you use to play your FLAC files - or do you convert them? what would you recommend?!any help would be very much appreciated!! :-D xxx

There is a codec to play Flac files through Winamp.

Flac Frontend does an excellent job of converting them to WAV, which I then use to burn as a normal CD.

Others claim that Nero will burn FLAC straight to a CD, but I don't have Nero and can't confirm it.

I can confirm that Nero will burn flac straight if you download an extra file.
I use VideoLan (VLC player) to play Flac, it works great for me.

If you don't have Nero, You can burn it using Winamp. Automatically it burns it without seconds between tracks. Once you have installed the codec of course !
Please will you direct me in the right way?

Nero does burn FLAC straight to CD I can confirm.
I'll be what you make me...

Get the dBpowerAMP Music Converter...
A programm that converts any audio format to whatever preferred audio-format. Easy to use and very very handy!
There are some cracks floating around the net.

Oops! Did I say that? Nonono; of course you need to buy the real thing!!

Have to agree about dbPowerAMP music converter... it's pretty damn good.

One thing though... you don't need a CRACK for it... it's a free program as are the CODEC's for it....

oh cool, always looking for good conversion programs.

One thing I'm interested in, is if anyone knows if it's better to convert via flac frontend and then burn than burning straight from flac to cd with Nero? I usually go the long route, but if there's no difference in quality....

LOL! The internet nowadays. I didn't even know it was free! ;-)

Anyway; it's great stuff. All you need to do is install the thing. Then take whatever file you want, right click on the mouse and you'll see a new 'convert to' possibility. Then pick whatever you need it converted to.

Dunno about difference between burning FLAC or converting first. There is no loss in quality anyway, but maybe you'll get clicks or silences between tracks... Never tried it before, but there is no quality-loss in the music for sure.
