So I guess Dave Clark who wrote the story, and the 2 music/lyrics composers would own the rights.

Well I bet Serry or JSS know more about this than me. I just know that Cliff owns the rights, it might be that Freddie and him both had it, but after Freddie died, all rights went to Cliff.

Since Dave Clark wrote the story, the Lyrics were written by David Soames, and the Music was written by by Jeff Daniels, WHO owns the Copyrights/Intellectual Properties to any recordings of the many live productions of "Time"?

Hi Rafael, it's true - you can ask all the questions here. But is it polite and respectful to spam this board with hundreds of repetitive posts when a single click can bring you the answer? Arlene claims to be a music journalist but she does not know that you need the permission of the performing artist to release a live performance (unless he/she agreed to such a release in a contract), that's pretty odd. But it's not enough for her to ask - no, she asks again and again like a 2 year old child. When she does not get an answer within minutes, she reposts the question demanding that John Stuart or other people answer her question when any 10 year old can figure it out for themselves.

jgood is not the only person here who is annoyed by the flood of Arlene's redundant posts. They spoil the board for the rest of us.

I kinda beg to differ on the comment of Queen's rare stuff wasn't available here in the US back then, gee i had tons of bootlegs and every lp that would come out. I don't think you looked very hard, Queen's rare stuff was as popular as Zepplin's here in the 70's & 80's.

Also, journalists LEARN by ASKING questions..which ARE a HUGE part of research...

...and I went on QZ for the enjoyment of a NON work/employment environment to discuss Queen topics and learn about Queen from FANS.

I am not here doing a job or working, I am here for the discusions and learning experience and to enjoy them in a non hostile/non working environment.

P.S. You got angry with me for bringing up that interviw with Freddie on the mercuryparadise website..which I DID find by exploring that very website, then a ton of people on QZ were happy I had brought it to their attention, and asked about it. So what did I do wrong?

YOU even helped Fairy with the text of it when she asked about it, but yet you snapped at me for even bringing the interview up, which she and all the people who asked about it would not have known if I had NOT brought it up.

Thank you but actually the last 2 days I have been crying alot over this and I did'nt come to QZ to be bullied, belittled and cursed at. I came here for the pleasure of enjoying discussing Queen and learning about Queen.

I have NEVER attacked anyone on here. If I find their posts boring or repetitive, I just don't post to it.

I also read but do NOT post to alot of topics I see that turn into personal vicious vendettas with people REALLY spamming the board with expletives and such.

Why do people ENJOY attacking and victimizing others?

I don't want to leave Queen, but I am tird of people personally attacking me when I would NEVER do that to them.

I'm also apalled by the amount of bigoted, hompohobic, mysogynist bullis out there who have nothing better to do, people like that Vivival or Jake Britt, etc. People saying they are going to send viruses to our personal emails. What kind of twisted psychotic world is this?

Arlene, this isn't a personal attack on you for no reason. YourValentine doesn't ever attack anyone and as you are here longer, you'll see that she is never nasty to anyone, never. She is one of two administrators on this board. She has a responsibility that not many people could handle. She tries her best to make this board a great place for everyone. Is that going to happen 100% of the time? Nah. She has stated clearly what the issue(s) are in regards to your posts. Quantity and quality of posts seems to be the major issues here. When you post so many topics, you cover up the other topics people have made. I know you realize that you aren't the only poster on here. There are lots of members here and we all have things we want to ask each other or post for FYI.

YourValentine was correct Arlene, when she stated that if you don't get a response quickly from someone, you bump your thread back up to the top, again, covering up other threads. You've done that more than once. There are probably one or two reasons why people aren't answering you. One is that people have purposely stopped opening your threads bc you have a repuatation for posting common knowledge, your thoughts at that moment in time, or things that can easily be found yourself. Not demanding? Check out that RIEN!! & QZ Questions etc. thread again. By the second and third pages, you're constantly posting and reposting questions that no one's answered because, as Lisser said, 1) people are just tired of the thread or, 2) nobody knows the answers. And you're constantly asking Zeni how to save the file - at least two or three times, instead of waiting for a response. Maybe Zeni went away from her computer? Maybe Zeni, oh I don't know, had to DO something? Who knows.

Get over yourself. And to say that you "cry" about what you read on a messageboard... well, I should remind you that this is the INTERNET. You're crying at what people are writing about you on the Internet? Good grief. Personally, I make humor of a situation if people are starting to take themselves too seriously. Generally, that humor is a sentiment that most people agree with, but I am also capable of an actual conversation. There's just only so much that a person can add to a topic that's been done to death so many times before.

Arlene, you sure do write a lot; I like to write too. I consider myself a bit of a writer, but I generally read books, read other webpages, do my own kind of research if I want to find out something. I also try to immerse myself in other hobbies, generally ones that involve the outdoors. Or I hang out with friends, loved ones, family, etc. If I have searched and searched until my face is blue and still cannot find an answer, I use this messageboard as a last-ditch effort.

I'm not out to insult your intelligence Arlene. I wanted to offer some suggestions and observation on why this is coming up. We aren't singling you out, you are the only one that is doing this, you aren't the only one that has ever done this. No one is saying you're rude, we are saying you are demanding. You can be polite in demanding something but the fact is is that you are still demanding it.

I'm glad you avoid the topics you mentioned. Most of us do, like Lester said. It tends to be the newer or younger posters that go for the soap opera threads. I am not bothered by them for they fade away in a short period of time. I am bothered by posters that litter the board with their huge quantites of posts with information that is readily available in countless other threads through the years this website has been here. They drown out the other threads by pushing them to the bottom.

Who are the homophobic posters on this website? QZ does get it it's share of trolls that pass by posting obscenities but Richard or Barb see it and it's disposed of as quickly as they can get to it. But all of us have a responsibility to do a certain amount of self moderation. If you see something that you don't like, scroll over it. I don't post in these threads, I don't bump them up just so I can tell the topic starter how stupid they are, I don't give them the satisfaction of my time. Instead I look for threads with interesting information. Yet they are harder and harder to find now bc they are covered up with common knowledge things.

I think we've all waited patiently for your newness and over excitement to dwindle a bit. It hasn't happened yet, infact it's getting more manic, so we've brought it to your attention. Yet you are convinced we are attacking you, we are insulting your intelligence and you are crying about it at home? It doesn't have to be that way. This is not healthy and there must be more to your everyday life than this notice board. If not, make it that way for your own sake. Zeni was more than patient and kind to you and gave you some good information. She is a very busy person working on her Ph.D. and holding down a full time job. She probably has more than that on her plate as well. Give her some time and she'll more than likely be thrilled to answer anything that is a bit challenging to find the answers to. I like Arlene as well .. she welcomed me back to the board after a 5 month hiatus.... and this backlash ive seen on here in some of the ealier postings on this topic have been the very reason why i have never started a new thread .. because i already see one that i did pop up again just this morning .. and as the one that i started .. it was one i copied apparently too because Lester Burnhams review of the "miracle tour" appeared on a similar thread as well ...
