There were many different Queen shirts at the recent concerts. Other bands were also represented on t-shirts that people wore to the gigs. I remember that in Newcastle, in addition to a vast array of Queen shirts, I saw people wearing Cheap Trick, Bad Company, and The Rolling Stones shirts . . . at Manchester I saw more than one Black Sabbath shirt--Fenderek wore one, and Mike also wore a very cool "Jazz" shirt to the meetup at the Hard Rock cafe, and lots of other Queen shirts at the HRC. At Birmingham I spent too much time in the bar at the Crowne Plaza BEFORE the gig to really remember what people wore TO the gig, but do recall seeing a lot of yellow Queen "Magic" aloha-style tour shirts as well as other Queen shirts once I was inside the arena with friends and found the bar there.
What band swag did YOU wear to the gigs? Queen stuff or anyone else . . . doesn't matter. It would just be cool to see who was represented shirt-wise, band-wise.

Me? While I DID wear one kind of shirt/blouse or another to each of the gigs, there was no band represented or special significance to them. I did, however, wear my "Freddie Mercury socks" with black and white diamond shapes that are reminiscent of Freddie's legendary black and white harlequin suit. (Yes, I wore clean socks to all gigs. I have three pair of the "Freddie" socks.) I considered wearing some "Roger Taylor socks" with black and white tiger-stripes, but opted to go with the Freddie ones this time around. I'll consider wearing the "Roger Taylor socks" to Hyde Park. Watch this space! ;-)

Ah . . . here's the secret to extending the life of t-shirts: Hand wash in cold water with Woolite (mild detergent--it takes 2-3 minutes tops. NEVER EVER put them in a clothes dryer. I've got a Cheap Trick shirt I got way back in, well, never mind how long ago it was, the point is, Cheap Trick is still on tour and my shirt is still wearable. Never seen the inside of a clothes dryer. Never will. Also, if you wear your shirt to work out, wash it immediately. Sweat is not your shirt's friend!
Here endeth the lesson.

I no longer have my favourite ones, such as the A Night At The Opera one. I was going to buy a replacement in Cardiff, but chose not to because the colours didn't look right.
So I ended up going in a plain white T-Shirt.
Fenderek, I think I was standing next to you in the queue in Cardiff. Talking about the gigs you'd been to, the downloads available on Queenzone, and the ticket tout who wanted to swap seating tickets for standing tickets. If that was you, hello again! :)
