Can you post a link to their statement? Don't nec. go by this...as Geldof is STILL openly denying to the press that there is even anything called Live 8 much less anything about it....but everyone knows he is just doing that to amass hype and wait to formally announce it.
The dates, location, and most of the artists are already confirmed too, yet Geldof STILL keeps openly stating there is no such thing as a Live 8.

I don't see how you all can say this is the real Pink Floyd. Syd Barrett WAS Pink Floyd, and those bastards cruelly kicked him out. Just because he had a bit of a drug problem? And a bit of a punctuality issue? Good grief, Roger Waters, talk about megalomania! Nevermind that their best work was done after Syd was booted from the band, it's the feel that counts! And they never managed to regain that feel until "Ummagumma". And everything beyond.
