There isn't one meaning of Bo Rhap that everyone can a agree on. I'm just wondering what others oppinions are

My interpretation? It's about Freddie coming to terms about his sexuality. Killing off Farouk Bulsara and finally becoming Freddie Mercury. It came to me while watching a live queen video and seeing him by himself at the piano and REALLY looking into the lyrics. He was torn about his sexual orientation and I think it's around this time where he probably finally "came out" to a certain extent. I get the feeling the first verse telling his mom that he killed a man meaning that he may have come out to his mother. I don't know. It just makes sense to me but everyone is entitled to an opinon. The opera section to me doesn't really mean anything. Freddie just being clever I suppose. He also may have considered himself a bohemian. Give it a listen everybody and see what you think.
well I think the beginning is about (like you said) him haveing killed a man (his old self or a fictional person) and conffesing to his mother and he's going to his trial tommarow, and might get hanged afterwords. The opera section I've always thought is the trial section where the jury is arguing about whether let be hanged or to "let him go"

First of all they're joking about the AIDS thing you knuckleheads who took it serious. Second of all BoRhap has a pretty simple face value interpretation. I don't know maybe I'm just smarter than the rest of you:
Guy shoots someone dead, in the head, weapon a gun. Now he has the death penalty. Now the middle part is either the trial or possibly his judgement day and he's trying to stop from going to hell. Now I dont think the hell thing is right, I think it's just a trial with the defendent, the prosecution and defense bantering. It's pretty obvious if you listen to the lyrics it's not rocket science. They're trying to save the guy from the "mostrosity" i.e. death penalty device of choice I always crack up at the easy come easy go part, thats so funny and genius. Anyway I'm right, no debating it, end of discussion lol

To me Bohemian Rhapsody is a GREAT song, it's the greatest song of all time in the history of music. But I think what partly makes the song so great is that nobody can tell for sure what it REALLY means. We can have our own interpretation of it, but we'll never know what Freddie was thinking about when he wrote it.
Personally I feel this song as the story of a vulnerable man who has to die in a very mystical way, involving Gods' powers, Evil's powers and forces of nature, and has to say goodbye to the world in a very theatrical and dramatic way. It's a piece of art, like a theatre play. I don't think it was about Freddie's life (and I don't believe for one second that it could be about AIDS). I think Freddie was the kind of artist who wanted to avoid to give people an idea of who he really was in his personal life - he rather wanted to offer them art and entertainment. That's what Bohemian Rhapsody is all about - art and entertainment.

People thinking like that is why most songs suck. There's always a cerebral side to the best songs.
I didn't imply that they weren't well thought out lyrics and were not genius to come up with but i stand by what i say, if people constantly search for metaphors in any work then sooner or later the whole work will be taken out of context.
Bo Rhap is an opera basically and those words, all though not directly taken from them, are very common themes in opera. Freddie being the musical genius he was may have thought that to use already existing themes and rewrite them was a good idea. Scaramouche is an operatical character i believe and in doing so just takes Freddie's musical genius to another level.

I'm not trying to find out the true meaning of Bohiemian Rhapsody, because (and many of you have said this already) I know all songs affect diffrent people differently. I'm just trying to see what those differences are. K just thought I'd clear that up.
