I've been trying to use that 'disconnect, delete cookies, reconnect' trick to get around rapidshare's hourly download limit, but no matter what, it doesnt seem to work.....any ideas? I am on cable, does that make a difference?

perhaps.....this is the first time I have tried that....it would just figure, that they would find a way to stop it, just before I try it......lol
well, that didnt work either....oh well....thanks anyway!! Guess I just have to wait an hour...
It tells me know that I can't download anything cause I've been extremely downloading! Ha, thats a joke!
"This IP xxx.xx.xx.xx is not allowed to use the free-service anymore today. We detected very extreme downloads. Don't worry! This has not to be your fault.
Maybe you use a proxy-server."
Not guilty!

if you got XP try deleting the contents of your prefetch folder, and temp internet folder...you can even zap history as well
I used that cleaner thing, which I am pretty sure deleted temporary internet files and all that, yet still no luck...
I'm having the same problem here.,.. I work at a place that has the same IP number, no matter how many times I disconnect... :-( I'm a computer technician and i'm stuck to this, that's a shame hehehhe
Maybe you have only 1 IP. The trick only works if your IP changes everytime you reconnect.
It would seem that that is the case....now rapidshare wont work for me at all though! argh...
Can you download from rapidshare using a anonymous hub?
I am talking about programs like ghostsurf.
I never heard of that anything like that myself!

I've tried to connect anonymously to Rapidshare using "Complete Anonymous Web Surfing".... I guess that was the name of the software, yes.... Anyway, every IP that the program gave me, got banned by Rapidshare... I'll try this softeware you guys posted, instead!
Okay this is the trick i use,
I let WindowWasher from Webroot software wash my internet and windows tracks.
Then i restart my pc and can download 1 file again.
Of course you have to do this everytime you want to download within the 1 hour waitingtime and so maybe its a bit hard work or not worth it.

There is another thing I discovered when downloading from Rapidshare (free): You have to go through a couple of pages until you reach the desired download link.
I searched through my download history (I use Firefox as a browser) and found the originating links for the files. While donloading one I tried the former ones, and surprise it works.
To be brief:
The anouncing URL is:
http://rapidshare.de/files/2071565/nagoya_82-1.rar.html
The actual location is:
http://dl1.rapidshare.de/files/2071565/30782320/nagoya_82-1.rar
So it would be a clever shortcut for those who downloaded to post the actual locations so we'd skip some steps and trick the fileserver.
What do you say?

Yes, I'm all for that. Not sure whether Rapidshare would latch on after a while though...
