I haven't seen it either, and in my opinion, it's not a particularly exciting set list. The official Japan DVD is an edited 90 minute version (not sure what was edited out), and is available from the link below. This should work out at around £19.50 + shipping, but you would also be likely to have to pay additional import duties, as it's over the £18 threshold. If anyone knows where to get this cheaper, I would also be grateful for the info.

Is mix as crappy as VHS or is it better? I have numerous bootlegs that sounds better than THAT...

A good guess would be something similar to why the WWRY wasn't released in Europe: because somebody else has the rights to release it. So you can expect a "worldwide relase" (like Rio... :P) to replace it in a few years.

I've only watched it once myself, but isn't any official Queen dvd worth getting?

No, that´s the (official?) Japanese dvd, the Brazilian bootleg was only available as a laserdisc I think.

I got my dvd from Ebay and in my opinion it´s really worth getting if you want to know about the Works tour, much better than RIR. But if you don´t have any live dvd yet and just looking for a great concert then buy LAW or LATB first.

The dvd is missing Dragon Attack and the Guitar Solo apart from that it´s complete. The picture quality is quite good, but the camera angles are a bit strange, until Jailhouse Rock or so you don´t see anything from the audience and they can hardly be heard. The performance itself is ok, I´m not really a fan of the Works tour, but the setlist is great with many older songs they wouldn´t play during the Magic Tour anymore. As I said the dvd is enjoyable to watch, the quality is good, so I think you shouldn´t be disappointed.

it's a good gig the only downside is that the guitar is a little bit quiet in some places
we've no ancestral halls, no haughty portraits on our walls, no family monuments at all, unless it's my cousin sheila's stupendous clevage.

As noted by dimcyril, the guitar is low down. Everytime this question comes up there are people like myself who know to warn people off this bootleg/official release.

The audio mix is particularly shoddy as Brian's guitar is mixed below the synths! That sole fact in itself should ring alarm bells. The recording is a soundboard and is pretty nice. But because of bad mixing you don't get the most out of it.

I don't listen to it anymore as its pretty shoddy mix annoys on repeat listens. If you desperately want it, get it. Just don't expect something on par with the recent QP releases.

Peace,
Adam.

At least it´s an acceptable representative of the Works tour, it´s better than Rio anyway. And there is no other pro shot footage available from this tour. So I think apart from these mentioned issues with the mix and some strange camera angles there is no need to warn people from buying it. It´s not up to QP release standards of course, but it´s not that bad IMO. Just my opinion.

Got the copied Brazilian version.
I'm thinking of buying this japanese one.

I think its crap, the audience dont wake up until 10mins before the end, Freds voice is awful and whats up with Roger ?, he looks like hes in a right sulk. You can tell the band are fed-up and if it wasnt for live aid this would have been the last tour for a long time.

Do like Break Free on this though.
