after the first chorus on the second verse, is that brian singing, it sounds like a woman
Michael Gallagher

it's not Brian for sure, it has to be a woman cause its a womans voice. But I don't know who it is
yes it was plain to see, yes it was meant to be...
L
It's Brian with his voice sped up. Brian apparently does all the vocals on the song, too.
K
Yeah you can tell it has Brian's nasally quality about it.
M
It's Paul Rodgers

I thought leaving home ain't easy was about leaving your wife. Though I guess it can fit both. It's just I kinda think the lyrics fit better for this explanation.

'I won't lay no blame
I won't call you names
Cause i've made my break
And i won't look back
I've turned my back
On those endless games'

No?
i'm not wierd i'm gifted

That's an only one vocal appearance of John!

It's Brian of course and he confirmed this in some interviews.

no... that HAS to be freddie... it just has to!
L
Why does it have to? It's Brian, confirmed by Brian himself.
R
It's Brian. The pitch has been raised of his voice, so he sounded much higher, and yes he does sound as a woman, but it is Brian!
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."

OK I spoke too fast, I'm sorry.

It does sound a bit like Freddie to me, but if Brian says it's Brian then it's Brian I suppose (though he has remembered stuff wrong before).

Anyway I've certainly never meet a woman who sounds like that! I'd be worried if I did..
D
i always thought that bit was freddie too.
glad to be put right though
we've no ancestral halls, no haughty portraits on our walls, no family monuments at all, unless it's my cousin sheila's stupendous clevage.

I'll upload the part slowed down if someone likes
"On the first day Pim & Niek created a heavenly occupation. Pim & Niek blessed it and named it 'Loosch'." (Genesis 1:1)
