Freddie's New Career Highs

Searching for newest audio files, I found these two, which seems to be Freddie's highest notes, singing fullvoiced and with falsetto.

The headvoiced High F can be found in Barcelona (Freddie's Vocal Slave) and the Falsetto Soprano High D can be found on a bootleg, in Japan 1985.

I remember those more innocent days when we thought Fred's highest notes in head/chest voice and falsetto were Eb's. We'll never see the likes of those days again.

This high F really seems to be his head voice, though it sounds strange... like Alessandro Moreschi or something ;)

It does sound strange. Freddie's wasn't used to sing particulary this high. But sounds great though. By the sound of this High F, i believe this was his limit... perhaps a High F# ... but not any higher...

There are also a Headvoiced High F in 'All God's People', but sounds too "falsetto-ish". If i hadn't have this other clip, I would call the AGP note as a falsetto note, but it's clearly headvoiced. I will post the link soon ;)

Considering Fred`s voice was quite lower at the end of his life compared to his mid twenties, do you think he could have sung above that F in early 70s?

I think it's very unlikely. In the 70's, Freddie sang notes above High Tenor C in falsetto.
In the 80's he improved his breathing technique, it was more "operatic", so he could reach high notes without ruining his voice.

It's F4.
