The original vocal can be found in the FM box set. It has Freddie mostly scat singing with the odd cohesive sentence here and there.
This new version seems to cut bits out of the original but I must admit I like it............ took me a few listens though.
I'd hardly start calling the composer a jerk for trying to create something out of a dis-used vocal.............I've certainly heard worse that's for sure!

No, I didn't call him a jerk because he's putting new stuff to old music! I commend him, I want to do the same!
No I called him a jerk because this sucks. The guitar sounds fake, the 'ethereal arrangement' doesn't go anywhere (well it does - it goes to hell, in a handbasket) it's just sad to hear Freddie's voice with that crap!

Okay I'll put my hands up, I am a very big fan of Stuart Leathem (the composer). I have all his records and they are most definately an acquired taste! To be honest I was unsure what to expect when he decided to do something with a Freddie Mercury vocal but I guess what you end up with is a mix of two very different styles.
Leathem would never claim to be a songwriter, not that I'm aware of anyway, but he has stated many times that he is a huge admirer of Queen and I guess this was a bit of indulgence.
It's intersting to hear a spectrum of opinion on this track. I'll get in touch with him through his site if I can and see if I can get any feedback from him. Seems to be simple enough to do.............

it would really sound great if he would use real instruments instead of keyboard guitars and drums.
it sounds like my homeworks in music school :P

The track is very badly mixed. And the arrangement, well, er... I do not like it at all!
It sure doesn't follow the normal format of a song!
Definitely sounds like an out take from the Mr Bad Guy sessions to me. Has a feel of Love Me Like There's No Tommorow to it and sounds spooky all right!
Also, sounds like Widerness from Brian. Was he listening to this at the time?
Anyway, another "demo" to my collection.

The lyrics match Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow, so I think it's an outtake from that Freddie set (mind you, I don't own it so I don't know).
lol it's a ,,remix'' of love me like there's no tomorrow demo. it's on freddie mercury box. someone has just took out songs most important part: love me like there's no tomorrow, and there you go you have a new song... what a crap
you can find it on my download page.
That track sounds really not good! I really hate synthesizers...it almost makes me puke!!! Ain't that song a violation of copyrights?!
It's crap!
Comparing with New York At Last (another remix made of old Freddie demos) this one is not very interesting. Furthermore, it's poorly mixed.

I have to agree, this is truly dreadful. Apart from the dodgy mixing and instrumentation (not disputing the creator's skill, just how it was used in this case), Freddie's vocal is not up to par either. Some out-takes should remain on the cutting room floor. I wish I hadn't heard this!
Some of his vocals are pretty but yes it is understandable why they weren't released in this case.
I've got to get around to buying the CD that has those vocals on 'em, so I can make a fist of doing this properly.
