There's two LP editions

But the second edition is apparently unnumbered and doesn't have a PVC sleeve. Mine is numbered, and has a PVC sleeve!

According to http://www.queenpicturehall.com/albums/q22ghiii.shtml , there were 10,000 numbered copies printed. So why and how, pray tell, is my copy numbered #10057?

Maybe it's something silly like there's 10,000 copies for sale to the public, and 200 on top of that for all the record company people?

Or maybe they just fucked up 57 copies of the sleeve during the printing, and had to throw them away. :P

Haha, maybe.
The catalogue number is: 523 4521/7243 5 23452 1 2...that 2 may mean its a second edition but the second edition is supposed to not have the PVC sleeve and has the band members printed on the card instead....weird.

I have that exact same catalogue number on my #01730, so I would guess it has nothing to do with the edition.

And of course the fact that there are websites like http://www.barcodeisland.com/upca.phtml which explain what the barcodes are about.
Maybe they lied to make it seem more desirable.

Who lied? I've got it, it's arrived, it's in my hand! Well, it could be but then it would be slightly harder to type.

The cardboard sleeve just had Freddie's picture with Queen+ Greatest Hits III at the bottom, and the PVS cover has Roger, Brian and John's heads at the bottom, Queen+ in the middle towards the left and Greatest Hits III at the bottom.
Maybe they lied about there only being 10000.
great... they really said that only 10,000 were made! Just like they said that the orange Pressure On 7" single was withdrawn the first day of its release (which I doubt as well)
