Roger's drumsticks

Some drummers throw a whole bunch of sticks during a live show. I've always asked myself why Roger doesn't throw his drumsticks into the audience. After the show he usually takes them with him backstage or just drops them onto the stage.
Does he want them to become really rare collectors items?
Is he afraid of charges being pressed against him by fans being injured by them? (These possibilities are not to be taken seriously :))
Why is he so stingy with them?
Does anybody know?

I'm sorry friend but both in Pesaro and Milano 2005 concerts he threw the drumsticks towards the audience.

And Paul Rodgers threw the picks, too (he played on crazy little thing called love)

And in Milano, if i remember well, Brian gave his coin to someone in the audience.

my drummer who is the biggest roger taylor fan in the world wants to bounce his sticks into the crowd. thing is we never get gigs

Yeah I saw that. He did that before he started doing pushups too..

I would DROOL.......over having one of Roger's drumsticks. It would NEVER wind up on E-Bay..my baby..(not that anyone would want it after I slept with it! and drooled all over it!)

Why would anyone wanna sell those things ?? Don't matter if I could get much money.. I WOULD NEVER SELL Roger's drumsticks or Brian's coins !!

This may be foolish, but I didnt think Brian actually used a coin to play live... He must go thru alot of strings...

I meant "one" of the European concerts...

I asked a roadie to pick up Roger's drumsticks after the magic tour concert in Munich. Roger had dropped them onto the stage after waving goodbye and leaving the stage. Then that roadie kept one behind his back and pretended to hand the other one to some girls standing next to me. He drew back and made fun of them, always hiding the other drumstick behind his back. Eventually he gave the drumstick to the girls while still keeping the other one behind his back. So one drumstick was gone already. I was really angry and started to panick, so I just climbed over the barrier, grabbed the drumstick behind his back and escaped again into the crowd :)
Roger had only used the drumstick for the encore (We will rock you, friends will be friends and we are the champions).
I would never ever sell this drumstick on ebay and no, Arlene, I will definitely not give it to you to drool all over it either.
