It could happen anywhere. Let's face it. The girl was drunk and unaware so she wandered off away from her group. It could happen in your own home town, but it is indeed sad. I hope her family copes well. :(

When I click on that link and read the story, it says nothing about anyone admitting to killing her. It just says that there are some men in custody.
