I want to say that when Brian mentioned how he wished that his Mom and Dad were there to see him receive this honor and enjoy it with him, I CRIED my eyes out.
Very touching and moving. And I am happy for him and that he said he is glad that Anita and his children are there to enjoy it with him.
I know it must be hard..not having your parents be there with you at such a proud and wonderful and meaningful time..and I also know it's NOT the same...feeling from other relatives or we at QZ...
but Brian, we at QZ ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU AND HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!

Given the Queen has never heard of Eric Clapton, I doubt she even knows who Brian is or what he's done (even if he did play on her roof). I assume some panel comes up with the names for honours and she just runs a signature over it. Still, it's nice to see Brian get some credit for a change. Where's Lenny Henry's knighthood though?
