advice needed

ok, so heres the buzz: my friend and i have motley crue tickets, first mosh pit. The two of us are really excited! then we realised what a mosh involves. Lots of people pushing, to get to the front and flashing their tits (why dont people at rock concerts wear bras, is what i want to know!). shes scared shes going to die (remember, shes paranoid about EVERYTHING!) and i just dont want people to touch me, because i'll get angry, and i dont know what i'll do to them. now, i've tried convincing her we'll be ok (if people start to crowd us, i figure i'll just lick them and that will make them step back). yet she's still scared...and quite frankly, so am i. (im not the biggest person, im 5 foot 2 or something, and weigh under 50kg...give me a break!).

So the simple question: how does one survive a mosh pit? (and remember, Motley Crue havent been to Australia since 1989, so they're be alot of people there... ie, big broading rockers!)

I'd love to give you advice, but couldn't understand a word, sorry.

If you are that scared, why buy mosh pit tickets in the first place?

Cover yourself in cat pee - that should keep people away.

Just keep together, you'll be fine.

Is it a designated mosh pit, or just a separated area from the rest of the audience? Becuase, more often than not, it doesn't mean EVERYONE in it will be moshing, just a few select areas. And, if you see a few people start to separate the crowd around them, then move, cause that will turn into something you wont like.

But, most importantly, don't worry about it. If you go to the concert concerned about keeping an eye on what the people around you are doing rather than watching the actual concert, you wont enjoy it and you'll regret it.

And make sure your shoe laces are done up tight. And dont have anything valuable or crushable in your pockets.

I would never wear a bra at a rock concert because i don't need one. Flashing tits with a bra on is impossible because that would be flashing your bra ;)

I'd never get tickets to a mosh pit. I don't know how they are in Austraila, but where I live, it's NUTS and very violent!!! VERY.

Well...first off, if it's a mosh pit for Motley Crue, I wouldn't be overly concerned. There WILL be topless chicks, but I can't imagine there will be the pushing and shoving involved at other shows. Motley's core audience will be over 30. We saw them earlier this year, and it was mostly older people. But back to mosh pits..I can't stand that shit. I have been in the front of, at least, two shows now and had to move. I don't want to pay good money to get squished and kicked in the head by crowd surfers.

I won't dare get close seats for concerts where there is moshing.

I saw them earlier this year in Philadelphia (you know, where they used to play hockey). Tommy Lee was on stage with a video camera blandishing (well, asking, if so much) women to unveil their breasts for audience viewing upon one of the two or three large display screens. Interesting. Just thought that was relevant.

I hate mosh pits. I had to get crowd surfed out of one once because I couldn't breathe and kept falling over.
The crowd surfing was pretty fun though :-)

When we first bought our tickets, we thought there was a few more of us who were going... but one of my friends wants to save for a car, and the oter wasnt allowed... so now its just me and pax. should be great though. and for that person who asked, i'll try and get tit shots for you. and if tommy really wants a shot of my tits, i'll even give him a private viewing if he really wants (even if he doesnt, im game...)

so thank you guys! it really helped. im thinking i'll just befriend a big person there, and they can protect me! yes! friends for me!
