The Queenzone top 100 "I'm Leaving...hang on i'm back again" posts

After more than 10 minutes of extensive research, I have compiled a 'top 100' list of people who posted their intentions to leave the board forever, only to return shortly afterwards. Can I add at this point that I have no personal feelings towards any of the people included on this list so don't take this as an excuse to start another war.

100-12: Mike Preston in a variety of posts has announced that he will leave, never to darken the doors of Queenzone again. At the time of writing he is still one of Queenzone's most prolific posters.

11:On May 4th 2005, *JAZZ* posted a thread entitled "I'm leaving and I don't care who calls me an attention seeker."
*Jazz stayed true to his or her word for a full five days before returning.

10: On October 10th 2004, Killer Queen 840 joined a boomerang like exodus with a post entitled "I too, am leaving Queenzone."
Just shy of 24 hours later, Killer Queen 840 was back again.

9: The-hero managed to hold out for a mammoth 4 hours and 19 minutes after posting "bye" on May 26th.

8: At 5.00 pm on the 22nd of December 2004, Albyboy posted a heartfelt goodbye in a post entitled "To the special people I've met here". He returned 1 hour and 47 minutes later.

7. Mr Brittas was absent from the board for a total of 1 hour and 7 minutes following his last ever post "Goodbye Everybody." on the 4th of May 2005.

6: 1 hour and three minutes elapsed between the first of Ander Vorschort's leaving posts and his eventual return on the 22nd of March 2005 with a post simply enitled "Goodbye"

5: On July 14th 2005 at 3.08 pm, Bitesthedust left forever with a final post entitled "This time I'm gone", a post whose very name suggests that their had been a number of elastic like departures in the past. In less than the time it takes to eat your lunch, he/she was back again at 3.22pm.

4: It was at 10.40 am on the 23rd of April that Linda of the Valley posted "I never thought I would say this, but..." She packed her bags and headed out the door of Queenzone for the very last time. She wandered the world in search of herself for a full 12 minutes before she arrived back again.

3: It was January 8th 2005 when Mike Preston, the bounciest guy on Queenzone left for the very last time. Sure he had threatened to leave on countless occasions but when he posted a thread entitled "Guess what, This is NOT a drill, no fooloing either, bye." you just knew that we would never see his likes again. He bounced for a full 4 minutes before returning and he's still here.

2:Ander Vorschort announced that he would leave for the second time on the 2nd of May 2005 with his "I'm not coming back" post. In less than the time it takes to prepare a soft boiled egg, he returned.

Yes, on March 27th 2005 at 12.05pm, Fried Chicken posted "Now it's my turn to say goodbye.
And less than sixty seconds later it was a case of "Now it's my turn to make a total tit of myself by saying hello again."

I've said it before and I'll say it again: people who really, truly want to leave don't bother with goodbye posts, they just don't come back. No words, no fond farewells, they just disappear. Not for them the hoping that others will beg them to stay, not for them the "oh well you all must just hate me then."
And oddly enough, most of those actually posted things worth reading.

Eh hemmm...I have a reasonable excuse for my thread..I actually thought I was forbidden to come back by my parents after getting into a HUGE fight with them before Halloween...After they cooled down I talked with my mum for a bit and she made a deal with me that I could come back if I didn't go on AIM with Queenzoners.


I know now that threads shouldn't be made if you're leaving..but I figured I mine as well to ease the curiousity (I doubt anyone would really care) and then when I was back I was so bummed out to see the Jeff (whirled peas) left. I'm not going to lie..it was a conversation my parents found me having with him that made them get so mad..and the sad thing it was nothing bad. They were just furious that I was talking to strangers. I have learned my lesson and I still miss him.

Looking back on it, I'm quite embarrassed about starting that thread. I'm sorry.

However, that's still not going to make me not get annoyed when I see people who are seeking attention making their own good-bye threads.

My parents used to be over protective too, Jess.

That was pretty funny, fatty. That cheered me up.
