John playing slap bass

Can someone aswer the following question ?

Listen to almost the last part of "Back chat" on "Live on fire ; MK Bowl". Is John playing slap bass there ? If so, this would be really cool. It's a pity that the camera doesn't film him there.

Can someone tell me ? Is John playing slap bass there. Are there some bassplayers here ?

I don't think you know what playing slap bass is. It's a competence. It a way to play bassguitar. It's not the instrument. For example Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers plays a lot like this way.

I didn't understand your question when I've read it for the first time, sorry.

I don't know if I know what is playing slap bass but I think it's something that consists of hitting bass guitar's strings with the thumb of the strumming hand near the base of the guitar's neck, sometimes combined with plucking the strings with the index or middle finger of same hand.

Yeah, playing slap bass gives it a "pop".

but does he play slap bass in Back chat (almost at the end of the song) ?
