What do you think about theories that poeple like Erich von Daniken promote? Was there a civilisation before what we know as the start of human civilisation? Was our planet visited by ancient astronauts?

I must say I have read quite a lot in that field and I am eager to find out what really happened in history. ^_^

Have you at least read Mr. Daniken's works, and other people's who base their conclusions on scientific facts, not mumbo-jumbo? My dad is a phisicist and he, as a scientist agrees with some of these theories.

I used to read a lot of Van Däniken's stuff in the eighties. Most of his theories sound very possible to me. What is interesting to me is that most of his theories can still not be proved wrong.

Well... for some things we just won't find an explanation... Like some things that are unlikely made by humans thousands of years ago. Yeah, maybe there was a kind of civilisation before the apes started to become human beings.
But the Holocaust was a hoax and the moon landing was fake??? Well, that first one is definitely not true. I once read something about the mood landing photos, about impossible light raids etc. But other people took those arguments off the table.
