What's that thing on Brian's RS, this tour?

I wonder what the round thing on top of the neck of Brian's original RS is. It looks like a penny or something like that to me.

He must have put it on there just before this tour, because it's never been there, watching earlier pics and video's.

What are your thoughts about this? Just interested :)

It's a sixpence coin. I read an interview with him awhile back where he said he had one put on there.

Yeah it's a sixpence coin and it has been there for some years already (four I think).
