Hi, I was not trying to get into personal info on Freddie...I too feel he would really be upset with his FRIENDS for telling such personal things..I just think the whole thing is sad...at least Mary stayed true...

dont worry lisa its human nature to want to know things, i'm interested in freddie's last weeks/moments to try and understand more of the true pain and suffering which he battled thru etc.. rarther than reading something like oh freddie died! but there are some people who actualy enjoy and get off on horrible/suffering stories.. so dnt worry i know where ya coming from,

hey lisa actualy you should try and get a copy of hutton's book because it is a good read with some funny moments but its very sad,
peter freestone's book is a good read too it goes in to great detail about freddie's home and spending...wow the spending!!!! lol

Hi flash..I have the firestone book, but I can't seem to find the mercury and me book..I have just read excerts from it on the internet..What made me post was all the different stories I have read about Freddie's death..one his family was there, one they were not called because the doctor said he had more time..blah blah blah..Just seems weird..I guess different people remember it differently.I just hope Freddie is at peace..

yea i agree with ya, and neither were there, i read last week on a usa site that george michael was visiting freddie in his last days etc.. which is a load of crap as he only met freddie once at live-aid 2nd; at queens 20th in 1990. it just shows what stories get made up,

These creeps who told such personal things about Freddie after his death deserve to be locked up for slander. Thats the first thing i thought when i read about the book: how mad Freddie would have been about his personal life being published by someone who he loved. I mean, i reckon jim only did it for the money, attention and symapthy. Even though Freddie and mary broke up, really they will always love each other, no matter what other realation ships formed.

RIP Freddie...counting down the days to the anniversary of that fateful day when you left us.

Jim, it seemed to me, wrote the book as a way to validate his time with Freddie. In public, Freddie referred to Jim as his gardener and, according to Jim, in private referred to him as his husband. Considering Freddie stated publicly that what he and Mary had was very much like a marriage and that she was the one person he trusted above others, I'd say the hostility toward Mary in Jim's awful book is yet another indication of Jim's (justified?)insecurity.

We'll never know for certain how Freddie felt about Jim, but I think it's pretty clear how Freddie felt about Mary. And how she felt/feels about him.

Ever had someone you can't stand spread rumors around about you that they dated you, even slept with you and even goes into great detail everything you supposedly did together-- when actually you never even gave the person the time of day? I have. It's totally disgusting. If you happen to still be alive, it eventually gets back around to you so you can at least defend yourself, at the utter horror and embarassment of the person who told the lies.

Hey, I'm fairly new to this board. I didn't get to be in on these threads when they were new so I have to dig them up. I think they are interesting topics and if I hadn't just simply dug someone else's threads up I only would have started my own and they would have been duplicates. We don't want that to happen do we?
