play the file

Hi!!
It's the first time I dowload a file with torrent and I just wanted to know how you play the file once it is downloaded.

You don't need to play torrent file, you need to download media files by the torrent and then play them on WinAmp or WMP

If the files are FLAC, the best bet is Winamp with te Flac plug-in.

But even if i've dowloaded winamp, it doesn't want to play the torrent file. I don't understand....

You have to download the torrent-file. Double click, select a destination, then download. When it's finshed, go to the destination and play your files. Remember, the download must be complete to play the files. Don't play the torrent-file, well, that's kinda stupid. :P

Well, maybe once more the same but for not PC-friendly users :-)

Torrent file is just something like &quot;downloader's key&quot; to the real audio/video file hidden somewhere on internet. You need some program that can use this torrent file to download the music - for example, one of the most easy is bittornado

With this program and the torrent file you can download (and then play) the MP3, FLAC or any other audio/video file.

I don't understand! if i select &quot;play the file&quot;in bittorrent, it says &quot;the torrent is already waiting to run&quot;,or &quot;is already running&quot; so I can't play the file.
Could you help me please???

The torrent file only connects you to the tracker where the actual files (music, movie) are distributed.

You need a BitTorrent software (client) like BitTornado, ABC, or Azureus as people already explained. You can DOWNLOAD a BitTorrent client from the inetrnet.

- Install a BitTorrent client
- download the small torrent file (you already did)
- load the torrent file into your client and start downloading the files: flac, mp3, mpg , etc

Depending on the number of seeders and your download speed it can take a couple of hours to a couple of days to finish the download.

I finally managed to understand how the whole system works and it's thanks to you, so thank you to those who help me!!
