My sister mentioned today how odd it is that Tom is so big on showing his support for Scientology and how he is greatly endeavoring to get people interested in joining, yet every time anyone asks him questions about it he becomes incredibly defensive and expects no one to speak about it.
That is weird. Surely a genuine religion makes any information available so that someone can make an informed choice about whether to follow it or not rather than relying on celebrities to spread the word (or not as the case may be) for it?

I spent too much time reading about Scientology last night. Seems one of the tenets as laid down by L. Ron Hubbard himself is to attack those that attack you. Don't try to reason with them, just shut them down. Besides being aggressive in defending their ''religion'' (which often means trying to draw parallels from their persecution to the treatment of Jews), they are highly litigious will sue anyone who defames or speaks negatively of them.

I just listened on Howard Stern some clips of the Matt Lauer interview with Tom Cruise and it was hilarious. The guy has definitely gone cuckoo.
Everytime Matt Lauer asked him why he considered that psychiatrict and drugs didn't work, he'd go saying to Lauer didn't know the history of psychiatry, but when ever he was asked to prove why psychiatry didn't work, he'd avoid the question with something else.
