I have one of the 40 ever made Guild "Green" Red Specials on eBay right now and let me tell you something! NOTHING beats the 93' Guilds for what they are as just a guitar, nevermind a copy of Brian's actual guitar which I have played. It's a totally different beast. If you've heard of, or even NOT heard of "www.kzguitarworks.com" then THAT's what you want to save up for to exactly match what Brian made with his dad back in 63'ish.... that's an exact replica and a lot more competitively priced than anything better... that's my 2 pence! ;^) Have a nice day!

Yep there pretty damn close, but so are the Andrew Guytons.
But the Burns model does get a very close tone to Brians original if used in conjunction with the same amps and treble booster.
Also just with the deacy amp it works a treat when recorded.

I saw on some website they have found the John Birch Red Special, (the one from the We Will Rock You and Spread Your Wings video) how did it get lost i know Brian lobbed it of the stage in frustration at one Queen concert
I think Brian is ungrateful for throwing it off the stage, it had a Tremolo and the works, and probably sounded better than any of our Red Specials, so anyone know why?
Whoever has it, is in possession of stolen property, it was thrown off stage after a techincal problem and then vanished! the neck was broken at the time so it will probably still be unplayable.
As for why, well he's a rockstar, that's what they do.

3000us$ for a Guild sounds a bit pricey to me... Anyone knows how much the sold it new, back in the 90's? I plan to acquire a RS from Rs-guitars.com (2699$), but i don't know whether i should go for the "fat" neck or the thinned one (i presently own a Burns & i'm quiet hapy with the neck width, but being permanently unsatisfied i wish to change for a bit better). Anyone has "experience" with RS Guitars...? Thank you:)
