Really loud,

The basic setup of Brian during his 1998 solo tour was:

Three Vox-amps fully wound open.
A Rocktron Intelliflex for Chorus and Pitch(harmony) effects
Two Bell delay modules (Brighton rock etc.)
A Fryer Treblebooster and a Dunlop Wah

Things haven't change much since then I guess.
The other amps are there just in case one of the three amps drop-out 'cause they are being pushed to their extremes (speakers & tubes)

By the way the three amps do receive different signals

Amp 1 (middle) Receives a dry signal (only blended by the Treblebooster and occasional Wah)
Amp 2 (right) Trebleb. Wah and 100% of the effect being used Chorus, Delay or Pitch panned hard right
Amp 3 (left) The same signal only panned hard left this time.

The reason that he uses this set-up is because he wants to avoid so called intermodular distortion (a result of too much effects being pushed through one amp)

A litlle unpractical especially playing pubs/clubs & small venues, it is so bloody loud and not every soundengineer has the space on his soundtable to amplify three different amps but it sounds great doesn't it?

I just came home from the Arnhem show and it was great and i'm still in a rush so that's why I'm still typing instead of going to bed (-:

Bye bye

well the AC30 is a 30watt amp and he has 9 so thats 270watts then put though the PA so its louder so yes its loud

Well, in fact only 3 of the 9 AC-30 works, the bottom ones. The 3 in the middle are backups and the 3 on the top are empty cabinets. You can see it clearly in one of the pics of the Tour Program.

Very Loud? No he has it to Slightly Noticable. He leaves it up to the audience (or one might say, it's in the lap of the gods).
