this has absolutely nothing to do with queen, but i just realized that the beatles released EXACTLY 200 songs

weird
It's only weird if they do not release anymore songs (which I doubt).
I find it a lot weirder (and in the right forum ;) )that '39 is the 39th song if you count all the Queen album tracks from Queen to ANATO. :)
Feed the Phoenix :)
does the 200 songs include real love and free as a bird?

or songs released 1962 - 1970?

The Beatles released 29 singles in the UK.
There must be more to life than this.

"Minds are like parachutes, they only function when they are open" - Sir James Dewar
That's not true. Beatles have released 186 songs which they wrote themselves, then they did 24 covers, which also appear on the albums. And if you count the last 2 songs "free as a bird" and "real love" that's 2 songs more. And in my world is 186+24+2 not 200. enough said about that...
John 3:16.....
I think that what Sweden_man is trying to say is a question that i keep asking myself. The Beatles only worked together for 7 years and were one of the most prolific bands ever (more than Queen), and sometimes someone finds new recordings. I think this is amazing!!

But one thing that i really don`t understand is this:

They have sold a Billion albums, but they don`t have albums in the list of top sellers of all time. This can only be possible if they have released many albums wich was not the case. So, i would like someone to explain me how can this be possible?
i assume the 186 songs doesn't include new material on the anthology such as 'that means alot'? songs which were unreleased in the 60s but have since been released

Beatles have sold so much of all their albums that they need no topselling album if they shall sell much. for example, I think that a greatest hits album with the eagles is the worlds most selling album (maybe just greatest hits album) but they have 10-15 really great songs which fits to one disc. Beatles have so many great songs that their is not just one really great album.

186 songs is of course with the anthology albums excluded.
John 3:16.....

John 3:16.....
ok, so we don't know if we are including the songs from the anthology albums which were unreleased in the 1960s. earlier i used 'that means alot' as an example
are you counting love me do as one release or two, as there are two different versions?
also there are two versions of across the universe.

how about the german versions of i wanna hold your hand and she loves you?

are they counted in the 200?
i'm not being argumentative, just curious

[and lazy, i would count them if i had the time]

if it is a help. if you have the 12 uk albums, the usa magical mystery tour album and past masters volume one and two cds you have everything that the beatles released in their recording career 1962 - 1970.
plus you have to add albums released in the 1990s.......
the beatles at the bbc double cd,
anthology 1,2 and 3 [all double cds]
plus the cd singles of real love, free as a bird and baby it's you, [which have songs not available on anthology and the bbc]

if you have all these then you have every thing the beatles have officially released.

hope that helps

If you add all Queens album tracks, concert tracks and singles, you get the number 46664. You do the maths....
