Hello,
To change the Pickups on The Red Special to add Burns Tr-sonics, and get rid of the cheapo Dillion ones, would you have to snap all the strings too swop them?

The people on the Guitar Forum are geting pissed off with me LOL

Before everyone starts with the insults let me tell you what to do.
Do you know the tuning knobs on top?

Well then tune them lower lower until the strings fall out.

Not really, I have changed pickups without removing the strings, although I was never one to snip them after installing them so there was ALWAYS plenty of slack...

But in your case, I would take a pair of bolt cutters and just snip the strings right at the nut.. keeping your face CLOSE to the bridge..
My Brothers and Sisters all hated me 'cause I was an only child... -Weird Al (Generic Blues) I gave up on books when 'To Kill A Mockingbird' gave me no useful advice on how to kill a mockingbird.
