But please don´t tell Paul Rodgers!!! It would make things tooooooo easy for him... :-)

...do you think this may have been Pauls last live appearance ever with them? ;-)
Yeah... but how many people were there?
Nice post H. Thanks. Sorry I didn't get to meet you. (Weren't you going to be at The Talbot?) I think we probably passed each other near the ambulance gate at Hyde Park on the Sunday after Live 8!
Thanks CLTCL. No, I was not at Talbot as I could not get there before and after the concert I went straight back to hotel. Don't worry, this world is small so we will meet soon or later :)
there were 45,000 there, I asked the guards, they limited it to that. Apparently REM were restricted to 80,000 on Saturday
I was at the very front of GA but I must admit seeing that red sunset over the crowd was something else...can anyone else validate the 45,000 theory??, I dont know how far back the crowd went, but it did look bigger than 45k

Thanks stateside, I must admit it looked a hell of a lot more than 45,000.
Mrs Mercury I was at the front of GA behind the speakers, did you see teh fight that happened??, why people cant stay off the booze for one night of their lives is beyond me..
'Imagine' Was the highlight for me purely because I never expected it and there was so much audience participation. Love of My life was emotional..
I didnt rate Razorlight at all, Did anyone else notice the atmosphere change so dramatically when Queen came on.
One of my highlights was having 4 teenagers next to me so excited and pleased at seeing Queen & PR they rated it as one of those 'I was there' moments. Brilliant when you see 'Neutrals' absolutely blown away by the music.
I saw Queen in Cardiff and Sheffield and personally I thought this topped them both, I cant wait for the tour dvd.

Stateside fan : Do have the link to go with that statement? Can't seem to find it on bilboard.com
NME also claims there were "over 85000"... Source: http://www.nme.com/news/113031.htm
BUT, they also claim brothers from The Darkness were there so either I missed part of the show or author of the article just made that figure out (or everyone is using one which someone mentioned somewhere).

Tonight's report on Ceefax says they played to an 85,000 capacity audience. Another online thing I was reading said sales were boosted by people in the last week just wanting some fun, some good music, to ease the woes of the past week away.
