I was just searching through windowsmedia.com and found a track called ''Let's Turn It on With Sideburns'' that is Freddie & Brian.

It says that is from BOTH Brian's site, (but I can't find it anywhere on Brian's site) and an earthlink site.

There is no information on this. I have no idea what and where it's from.

It's excellent. Sounds like it's from like 1990 or 91 from the sound & direction that it takes, as it has a ''headlong'' vibe to it and I mean it rocks big time.

Can anybody tell me all the information about this song?

1) Is it on any album?

2) Why can't I find it on Brian's site?

3) When was it recorded?

4) Who wrote it?

Here is the page I found it on.

...Also, if you scroll down the page, what's up with that ''New York'' demo by Freddie too? I listened to that. I don't recall that being on the FM box set.

This is remix of 'Let's Turn It On' (Freddie's solo track from 'Mr Bad Guy' album) and Brian's 'Sideburns' (Brian plays guitar, Justin Shirley-Smith - programmed drums).

'New York' is on Freddie's solo box set (CD Rarities 1 - The Mr Bad Guy Sessions).

And you can save the track - click right button on the title and choose "Save as...".

Sergey thanks but I can't save it. I am on a Library PC and it has no capability for doing all this music/video tech stuff...They put BLOCKS on the computers.

This week aol.com converted the entire Live 8 broadcast, which is free for another 4 weeks to a new progtam called aol media player.

I can no longer watch Live 8 because aol.com converted the entire broadcast to something called an aol media player..that when I click on it...it says the Library PC ''settings'' won't allow that program to be loaded.

....Also, what album of Brian's is ''Sideburns'' from. I can't find it on any of his, and,

....when was this remix done?

'Sideburns' was released on the Guitarist Magazine CD in November 2001.

About the remix - I don't know.

By the way if you open the site where this track is - you can find some pics of Brian and Roger

Well this remix is pretty cool. Makes me wonder what it had been like if Freddie had lived to actually record and perform this as it's kind of been spliced together on the remix. I usually hate remixes, but this works quite well and is a real rocker.

Guess Freddie sounds so good because his vocals were from 1985. But Brian's guitar really serves Freddie's voice well.

They ought to officially release this (or have they already? and if so on what album). But if they haven't released it,...

...jeez, it's certainly better than that remix crap on the Platinum Collection with Wyclef Jean rapping on AOBTD.

Most of the photos are When Brian & Roger attended the ceremony here in the USA when Queen got their STAR on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

These photos are great. Roger looks much slimmer and very dapper here.

Here's the MAIN photo of Queen's star! Yeah!

Martin....when you were out in Los Angeles, this is what I was hoping you would see. ( Though it's still great you saw the Duke's)

Here's Queen's Star!

Whomever did the remix forgot to make Freddie Voice IN TUNE!!!! Great Idea, I wonder what Lord Fickle could do with that....

But, the first 2 minutes are PAINFUL to listen to, as Freddie's voice is HORRIBLY out of tune with the song.....

Well it sounded decent enough by me. A little tweaking and remastering and proper re-mixing...

..this would be great for release. It Kicks ass.

Agreed. Not the best remix on this site. I have a piece of software that converts the pitch properly. It's called celemony melodyne. If Fickle wants to try this, I could tell tell him more about the software.

Peace,
Adam.

DART Karaoke Studio does the same thing, with its Pitch Up/Down utility.
Then again, Celemony's product does seem to be the best.

This remix is an excellent idea, as I really don't like Let's Turn it On - it makes the song really rock out. BUT why the hell didn't they make the two songs the same pitch? This is professionally done, right?

However, it's such a great idea I almost don't mind the key problems. Note - it's not Freddie's fault, he's in key - with himself. The two songs just haven't been corrected to fit each other.

The actual files used are:

Guitarist demo to show off what can be done with the Burns model. It's NOT an unreleased song. You can find it on either back issue or ebay.

The LTIO song is from the FM boxset and it's an acapella vocal without any backing.

The key of the two songs can be made to fit together with that above software I mentioned.

Peace,
Adam.

EDIT: They are similarly pitched. It's just, as has already been said, not the same key. They don't follow the same scale of notes and the person who made the edit ignored this.
